  1. I do t know what folks expected. The fact that only one player had a meltdown today is probably a good thing. The team sucked before this game and they still suck now
  2. Possible but hard to judge based on him being the coach for just a week and inheriting an already anemic offense and starting your 4th string QB. I am not holding anything against Wilkes for now.
  3. I like Eastman more than any other QB on our Roster. Dude just got up from the P squad and throwing darts. Granted this one was a dart to the other team but hell, lets go. Eastman or bust!
  4. I didnt really expect too much today from PJ. Not going to trash a 3rd string QB for being a 3rd string QB. Plus I think Wilks is playing extremely conservative and trying to concentrate on the basics. No one likes it but it might be what the team needs to steady the ship.
  5. I don’t see this as being pretty. But I feel like a weight has been lifted. I will watch with optimism and look at some positives of what could be rather than reflecting on the despair of the current situation. What a big difference a week makes. It’s a new era.
  6. I think keep pounding and it’s message will/could/should resonate for decades and generations to come. The message transcends a football team and fans in my opinion. If there are other chants or traditions that sprout then good. But this one shouldn’t go anywhere.
  7. I feel like Wilkes is being slighted for having to take over this mess and it might be an albatross for him. I hope it is not the case. I only hope that evaluators dont expect too much and he can exceed. Strikes me as a good coach/person and I believe he deserves a legitimate shot and so far it has not worked out for him.
  8. I think the standard action is to hold them more accountable than the average person. Fact is, this is a creature comfort that is perfectly acceptable if folks are responsible enough to do their job. I suspect in most cases these guys know what is expected of them and work hard. Those that don't likely wont last whether there is a ping pong table there or not.
  9. I think so far we have only won on two days this season. The Sunday we beat the Saints and the Monday we fired Rhule.
  10. There will be calls for firing him in game day thread during the first offensive possession. Aside from that, I hope there is a different philosophy in game planning and more tenacity but I suspect this will be subtle and take time for it to be consistently noticeable. If this happens the team will actually look like an NFL team by the end of the season. Considering the current state of things, I think this is a major accomplishment although I doubt it will have a meaningful impact on the record.
  11. I think they are going to borrow a line from Fox and say the answer is already in the building. I don’t think a whole new offense is being installed or anything such as that but some philosophy and tenacity will change I hope. Do I expect them to win? No, but I hope there will be an attitude that has not been present for a while.
  12. Yeah, I think he is very much an exception but agree with this. Not sure if any other college coaches fall into this category but agree with this.
  13. Right now, I would be surprised if we win anymore games this year. Its bleak. But at least the departure from Rhule is a step forward. Not sure what we are stepping into, but we are moving on.
  14. Well, as far as best moments, I cant comment on that now. I need to go look at the tape...
  15. I think folks think of immediate impact but it takes a while for these guys to translate the raw skills into nfl calibre players. I think this is extremely promising even though there will be ups and downs this season as he is still learning. Five games in and I think he is well ahead of where he was expected. Not sure how the other first round tackles look other than anecdotal comments but I think so far he is above everyone else.
  16. Yeah, he got pissed. I dont think there is a scenario where he could have come out of that looking good. I dont think he can outright say Rhule sucks, he cant outright say he is gonna fire Fit and cant outright say Wilks is a placeholder. I'm glad the questions came but there are only so many non-answers you can give. The only thing I can see positive coming out of that is that he does seem to acknowledge the mistakes. IT was brief but this might bode well for the future.
  17. This must be some internal creative differences drama. Snow and Rhule tied to the hip. I have no sources or anything like that but I wonder if Snow was "stirring the pot" and it caused friction behind the scenes. Wilkes not putting up with it which is good.
  18. Agree and I will take this stance with you. Can also be the first person the break the seal on the "Fire Said Coach Now!!" thread if the time comes. I like the strategy.
  19. Yeah. This is pretty big in my opinion. This level of fan apathy in week 5 is distressing. There was a lot of red in that stadium today and it was pretty much a neutral site game. Not what you want to see.
