  1. Zavala wasn’t totally lost which s hopeful given he is a rookie and has been hurt. Mingo looks legit.
  2. It’s preseason so beat to work out the issues now. Rotation is going to change throughout the season due to situations like this so might as well have this factored into preseason play. Just hoping to see some competent play from the group this week.
  3. Yea. And he was clearly the problem on Saturday. Fug all that S2 processing crap. The combine needs to measure completion percentage whilst being pummeled by a 280 lb defensive tackle. (#sarcasm)
  4. Definitely a very poor performance and people have every right to complain and be disappointed. Just think the doom and gloom is premature. Hopefully we get to September before people start mocking the 33rd pick.
  5. I’m glad nobody got hurt and the coaches were able to jot down a few “to do’s”. I would have been more pleased if the team was able to have a sustained drive with BY under center as it would be interesting. But I’m going to reserve judgement/total meltdown for a while.
  6. It’s more what I don’t want to see 1. Don’t want to see a lot of messy penalties 2. Don’t want to see poor clock management. 3. Don’t want to see injuries 4. Don’t want to see coaches wearing smocks.
  7. Ryne Robinson and Armani Edwards were both camp MVPs that were duds during the season. I think I’m 5-6 receptions behind Armanti as a pro. Seems like a good dude and an exciting college qb but such a disappointing NFL career.
  8. Missed assignments bad reads and penalties are probably way more important than actually winning a meaningless game. I think most coaches are looking at situational evaluations. That said it’s nice to win but in the end it is irrelevant.
  9. Usually there is a decent laugh or two when this comes out but not this year.
  10. He needs to be watching film and knocking it off with this GF mess. I’m so irritated I’m creating a thread about it!!! signed- someone really overthinking this. #sarcasm waiting for the overreaction.
  11. I’m not a literary scholar, but I think in modern vernacular, to be concerned literally has the same meaning as to be worried
  12. I like the demeanor. Confident but yet has the ability to admit shortcomings/lack of knowledge m and even joke about it. Self realization is a wonderful thing but it can be blurred by past accomplishments and too many people whispering sweet nothings. This is a very good personality trait IMO.
  13. First two weeks of Camp should be Stretching, Yoga Poses and Madden??? Ease into it....
  14. When you hear folks talking him up from the team it isn’t dismissed but it does get discounted because they have to rally around the team and “say the right thing”. But everyone seems to be consistent in what they say about BY regarding his demeanor and the presence he has. Don’t want to be overly excited but it’s damn hard not to be. Thanks a lot for the detailed observations.
  15. I think Payton is simply grabbing money now. He talks a lot but I feel as though his heart won’t be in it. I wish him good health but I look forward to seeing him fail miserably.
  16. Back to the topic, Although I only have second hand knowledge and did go to Spartanburg today, nothing has jumped out as a red flag for BY. It’s early but one day in the books and he looks every bit the part. Does not seem as though he is drinking from a fire hydrant at the moment.
  17. The staff is setup nicely for a guy like BY. Reich is a former QB and spent many years in the league as has McCown. Caldwell is another huge asset that has been around the block. Add Dalton's perspective to the mix and you have a very good foundation for a QB that resembles a sponge in terms of studying the nuances of the position and offense. These guys will have a good barometer of how much is too much. Again, not saying this will be an instant dynasty and he will likely have his share of growing pains, but there is no reason not to be optimistic about the future.
  18. Yes I was in the midst of posting a similar reply. I’ll go with this
  19. I don’t think the coaches are putting too much on his plate but I believe mant fans have unrealistic expectations out of the gate. He has the skills and intelligence o be successful but I don’t think it will be in the form of a first year dynasty. I think the comment from Tepper was just saying you don’t need to break the bank on top dollar FA offensive weapons if you have an elite QB. The FO and coaches know we need good WRs one also know this group has no clear #1. I think the team believes Marshall and/or Mingo excel this year, otherwise BY gets by with the mediocrity this season and it’s hopefully addressed next off-season
  20. Rich people are poor people with money. Doesn't make it any less annoying though
