    Not a bad strategy. But if we had done that there would be a multitude of threads blasting the team about complacency and not wanting to get better. Fan base will not be satisfied until we have our guy no matter what the approach is.

    Robbie brings a lot of this on himself. His stats last year say he should keep his head down and be quiet. If he simply limited the talk, the backlash would not be as harsh.

    Can’t be the first time he’s coaching a player that did not have ideal tools. When such things happen in the workplace there are often lamentations but at the end of the day everyone realizes they need to do their fuuking job. Sometimes it means molding clay and sometimes making chicken salad out of chicken poo but I think Coach is up to the task

    Whether you agree with the mayfield acquisition or not (I was against it but oh well) I like the fact that the FO actually negotiates and tries to get the best terms possible.

    Robbie strikes me as not having much of a filter and does not really think about consequences before speaking. Most of the time I simply can’t figure out what he is trying to say.

    As a prospect, I see Corral with starting potential. My worst case scenario is we got a backup and he is an upgrade over PJ. On paper Im optimistic we have upgraded the position and good use of the pick. I don’t expect Corral to start right now. Time will tell if this is accurate.

    Good way to sum it up. If Hurney were around I would be looking for Darnold to be IRd due to a deep paper cut on his non throwing hand. Will be interesting to see how TC plays out.

    Interesting to see how they "split" the financials. Not sure how much salary we took on to make it work. But its done. Edit: Nevermind. 5 mil is not that bad IMO. Not a Baker fan but it is an upgrade and its cheap.

    I think level of interest could be a differentiator and there is most likely a correlation to success but some guys don’t care for it. Curtis Martin is one HOF that comes to mind

    So glad they did this. Everything was looking good for Miles the player but this should/does change everything. Good riddance.

    It is very difficult to forget about a QB trade when there are 3 new threads each day (plus this one telling us to forget about it) reminding us that there may be a QB trade. Joking about thread title aside, OPs point is on target IMO. Just a few more weeks till we get to TC so keep ‘em coming.

    Apologies for the poor wording. "Great" is definitely an inappropriate term. Decent, improved, or even "void of complete ass clownery" would have been better suited regarding what I expect out of the secondary. The point I was trying to make (rather poorly) is that I'm more worried about the front 7.

    I’d be willing to give up the Jets 2018 first round pick and Tepper’s first head coach pick. Then it would be about fair.
