  1. Without knowing specifics I think he has done a good job. I suspect there has been a power shift from Rhule holding all the power to them having confidence in his input. I think he has done a fairly decent job thus far. Still have to judge him on perceived value based on what he has gotten. Draft this year and last looks good if they start to produce. The FA signings to fix the line this year looks good on paper. On value and need he gets an A with the exception of the Anderson deal. Production is a TBD.
  2. I think he has had some reps there and I dont think it was inspiring although I am not 100% sure. While its not exactly the same thing as trying to make Nate Chandler an OT, he will be out of his natural position. I would not expect him to be great there or perform without a drop off in effectiveness. It might be best for fielding the "best team you can" but I think if this happens it will likely become evident that this MLB is a glaring need for the team.
  3. Correlation does not always equate to cause. We lose cause our QB sucks and have been coached by what looks to be pop Warner staff.
  4. Darnold will probably look good thru camp and the narrative of "turning the corner" and "trusting the process" will be pushed on us endlessly by the Mint Street propaganda machine. Trouble with Sam is between his ears and when he gets in live situations he repeatedly does the wrong thing. I think they have to really think hard about starting Corral sooner than later if he looks like he is capable.
  5. I think there is logic in all of this and proves bold doesn't have to be far fetched. I agree with Deshaun suspension. It is inevitable. If Cleveland gets a bit more desperate, I can see this happening. I think Cam ends up in Houston or Seattle.
  6. This is a very interesting point. Im concerned with burning thru rollover cap and being strapped next year. That said, I’d be fine going in with what we’ve got and lean towards not messing with Mayfield. But, I do think there might be a compromise where it makes sense.
  7. No disrespect against anyone wanting the latest and greatest but I can’t justify the expense. I end up buying the old model that turns out to be a huge upgrade over what I currently own.
  8. Unless Cleveland gets more desperate to offload then we roll with what we’ve got. im not sure how well this post will age but I’m going with that.
  9. I think this sums it up. My heart says baker gives us a better shot at winning so go team. My head says baker hides the warts for another year and delays the inevitable. I want to roll with what we’ve got. See what Corral gives us and address next year if/when needed.
  10. My kids play HS sports but we never push them. It has always been school comes first and they know it. IMO the best thing is to guide them to be well rounded and successful academically. Feel sorry for the kids that are pushed into a corner and forced to perform for their parents.
  11. Second this. Similar career and my default starting point is to filter out the BS and find substance. Some people think if you keep on saying it the it will become the truth.
  12. Thanks for posting. Good watch. Im an old man and everyong looks young but dude looks younger than 27. Hope he does well here.
  13. Wasn’t this summit a type of networking event related to diversity? Maybe I’m just numb/ naïve but I don’t see anything wrong with the introduction. I’m confident if Suleman were looking elsewhere he could get in touch with an owner group or two so not sure I should be upset.
  14. If we are going this route I am picking that long snapper dude. He's gonna take over.
  15. I think this is reasonable. Sometimes hope overrides rational expectations and we as fans want to turn late round picks into something they’re not. Sometimes coaches put these guys in positions they are not ready for or are in over their heads, which to me is disappointing
  16. My first thought. I’d give him half a day before a grievance is filed. And I’m a Smitty fan.
  17. I think all the information coming from the Panthers has been sterilized. I only trust Huddle posts to get unbiased facts where there is no underlying agenda.
  18. This remains a hot topic for readers and media alike so I get the amount of attention it gets. But one wonders how much time the Panthers are spending on this now after the draft is over. I suspect (and hope) its marginal. Personally I'm more interested in knowing about other positions they are trying to upgrade. I am sure it is happening just hope something works itself out. I think DE/Edge is a little too much to ask for now but a LB would probably be a good thing without breaking the bank.
