    just some random ramblings I’m impressed by Ickey. Dude is poised in front of a microphone. I think his dad is a doctor. I think Motons mom is a professor in college. These guys have some serious smarts in their genes.

    I don’t know much about Teddy but my first impression is this dude had a lot of fun in college.

    Coach speak is to say Sam is our starter. While they hope Corral can take over immediately, he still hasn’t thrown a pass in the NFL. Imagine if he came out and said we just got Sam a shipment of clipboards so he has something to do on Sundays. just can’t do that.

    Call me crazy but I dont think Tepper made his bazillion dollars so he could play Robin to Jerry Jone's Batman. The Panthers will become "The Not Dallas Cowboys Football Team in the Greater Dallas Area" Anything is possible but I doubt it.

    I don't know what Corral brings but I think there is a good shot is that his floor is an improvement over Darnold.

    Taylor also got some playing time and should be in the mix (one hopes). I think you have some contributors from '21. Not all-pro type players but they can stick and give you a solid rotation. Agree that Marshall needs to show something.

    The protection should be vastly improved. Still think it will only marginally improve Darnolds performance but it should be solid comfort if we end up giving the keys to the rookie.

    I am hopeful for all UDFA but unfortunately odds are not in their favor. He looks like he has talent and hope he can make the cut.

    If you are simply grading on the players picked in the draft we have a strong case relative to value. If u consider the use of draft picks before draft day (see the million threads about Darnold suckage) we didn’t do all that well.

    Sam saw ghosts in NY and moving him here did nothing to change that. I think lack of confidence in our line actually reinforced it. He may be marginally better with the additional line strength but I don’t think he is able to overcome his demons. Not enough to be a starter in the NFL.

    We desperately need to improve at the QB position. We took steps to address said need without acting desperately. Despite my lack of confidence in the FO I think they made a good move and it was an attempt to improve without throwing a lot of assets away.

    Agree. My expectation/hope is Chubba improves in the passing game. I think he possesses the running game to be a key guy down the stretch.

    Yes. The Baylor mocking aside this is decent value. Can’t teach speed but he comes with a ton of it.

    Anywhere Fitt sees value. I figured the QBs would all be gone by the mid 2nd so I don’t know Poo. If Howell is still around maybe a sympathy pick for the Tarheel fans

    Unsure of when or if he starts. But, on paper we have a guy that can push Sam. Seeing how Sam handles pressure on the field, it will be interesting how he deals with this.

    They were likely testing the waters for a while and pulled the trigger when they had to. I don’t think it was panic or desperation. I’m sure Willis coming off the board was the point they felt they were in the window where they needed to act.
