You guys understand that our staff and front office will take every possible measure to ensure his knee is good right? I mean they can't be duped by the kid just because he says it doesnt bother him. They have put him through every possible physical test and medical examination they can to ensure he is solid.

@RapSheet: I know everyone expects a ton of WRs in the 1st round. I’m not so sure. Have heard many teams say “we’ll just wait until the 2nd or 3rd.”

 

 

That will be a key for the Panthers next week, when does that WR run start.  Will teams take a DT, LB, etc, because they figure they can get a decent WR in 2nd or 3rd.  I think its possible that draft gets into mid 20s next week and Cooks, and Lee still on board.

sick of seeing people bitach about mathis. he went to the bengals and did nothing after the panthers waived him. he said himself he was wrong about how he handled himself in both teams. panthers wanted to make him a unity OLman, but mathis only wanted to OG and only RG too. In order to play in the nfl sometimes you have to play a position/group that you want no part of. IF not, they will find someone that will. "coach i dont want special teams", "thats ok johnny, just fine......" days later "johhny we're cuting you goodluck" sometime in life it takes some a little longer to flip the switch, mathis mann'd up and become a great OG late in his career.

Personally I'd be very happy with this. Though I'm concerned with Cyrus' knee if DG thinks he's fine then who am I to dispute it,

I'd be elated if this came to fruition in a week.

Not bad but give me thomas from clemson torn acl and all or paul richardson in the 3rd.

      Also, in regards to XL and guys like Renfrow and JHJ, it’s hard to truly evaluate them because they aren’t getting enough opportunities.  XL, to me, seems like he turned a corner, which was evident in that career game a couple of weeks ago…  but then he’s only getting a couple of targets over the next couple of weeks.  Not to pile on Bryce because everyone knows where I stand on him, but it’s because of him.  Bryce made a nice throw to him yesterday, XL made a nice clutch grab, and then a packers defender took a cheap shot on him and he was out for a bit (I believe he came back?).  But, overall, it feels like for most of our WRs it’s feast or famine and no in between:  it’s not enough consistency in targets and distribution.

      Pretty sure it was both.  And the screen throw to rico that he literally jumped to do and it sailed over his head.  That type of poo is not fixable

      I just think it was an awful throw. He was trying to throw to the back pylon and just missed terribly. He had a little bit of pressure in his face and he can't deal with that. That's when the awful throws usually happen. I don't have a problem with that shot if it's thrown to the back pylon where it should've been. That ball thrown correctly to the outside is either caught by XL of is safely missed high and/or outside. You cannot miss that throw short and inside.
