What has Godfrey shown you as a safety that makes you think he will excel at corner? He isn't a freak athlete, he isn't long, he has always struggled with coverage, and now he is playing at the most athletic position league wide after just tearing his achilles.

Still not excited about this. He was never good at coverage as a safety and no he will be playing the most difficult position in the NFL after QB after coming off of a torn achilles.

He actually was pretty good at coverage

He's prolly the 4th CB. Dockery has been on IR the past 2 seasons and Norman sucks. He doesn't have a place at Safety with everyone we have there. His only chance is CB. And the guy we drafted most likely will be our nickel corner. Godfrey will come in on some nickel and dime situations.

He was mainly a corner in college so it's that surprising. Not sure how he'll do there though.
