Yea because CA bans all weapons that are simi auto. Hardy can legally own simi auto guns in NC.

This is common practice in domestic violence with communication of threats. I've known many men that turned in their weapons without any evidence or witnesses. There doesn't have to be an arrest or conviction to temporarily lose your weapons. If his agent was smart he hired a consultant to clean the apartment of any illegal weapons or drugs before the story even broke.

Our laws are relatively good for gun owners. But we don't know what the Kraken was packing. Missing serial numbers would probably be a no no. She claimed he had an Ak which is possible. It's also possible to mistake a semi automatic rifle for a Kalasnicov. But it's the Kraken, an RPG wouldn't surprise me.
