Hello from Buffalo

Recommended Posts

there are a few places i have softs spots for,  Buffalo, Cleveland and Detroit.

that game last yr was ours.  we pussed out.  we payed the price.  i say dont do it.  we shouldnt pick on the places that have been picked on for so long.

the buffalo game was the turning point for our team as a whole.  we put the absolute smack down the next week at home and if it wasnt for that fluke game in arizona we could have run the table last yr(fuktheaints).

you need to go out west and put a hex on the niners new spot.  go to san jose or wherever it is before someones else in the nfc does it.  and while youre out there stop by seattle...

As far as I can tell, Buffalo is an old comfortable shoe. Sure it smells, looks like hell, and it's best days are behind it. But I'll be damned if it isn't good for just relaxing and having a beer in.

That's probably the most poetic thing anyone has said about Buffalo in decades.  Somewhere a small child in Buffalo is shedding a single tear of joy at your beautiful words.

Not only have the Bills have failed to make the playoffs in 14 years, but the Music City Miracle is the most recent play in Bills playoff history.

Oh and the Buffalo Sabres finished dead last in the NHL this year.

Seems like a tough place to be a sports fan.

Just shows how tough of a group we are.  Us Western New Yorkers have losing teams, tons of snow, cold weather, NY taxes, NY government and a bunch of crazy red mulletted Canadians across the street living with the worlds largest tribute to the penis to make up for their inadequcies.

    • I agree, but I've already said that the players will definitely take more money up front because it's more security. But they want more guaranteed money and NFL FOs don't want to do that for several and various reasons, and that's what's at issue.  https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-second-round-rookies-finally-starting-to-sign-what-took-so-long-and-what-it-means-for-future-contracts/ It's a tug of war between teams and players, and, sure, paying a player a signing bonus may satisfy them, especially if--and sometimes "only if"--it ultimately leads to a guarantee of more of their contract, but the teams are on the hook for all of those guarantees when cap time comes, so if they guarantee more money, they're ultimately losing the contract game.
    • TBH, these are the kind of players that get weeded out of professional sports pretty quickly. Also, CMC is not that guy. There is zero indication that he isn't competitive.
    • I like the free agency. It actually helps basically all schools across the board. Pretty much only ancient HC's and/or HC's that haven't been able to adjust have been complaining about the free agency. Your fortunes can be made or broken every offseason. It's not like before where a bad recruiting class or two meant multiyear purgatory.  I will never understand all the bellyaching about the NIL. If you want to talk about what ruined college athletics, it has been naked greed. Conference expansions for TV revenue, ever skyrocketing AD and facilities costs and now the attempts to permanently ruin the postseasons(football and basketball).  All the kids did was get a very well deserved piece of a very, very, VERY broken pie.
