Kelvin Benjamin first WR Panthers have taken in 1st R in 17 years

saw it in article and hadn't thought of before so thought was interesting. Also brings extra meaning to how Gettleman said "I'm sure Cam is not mad at me now," after taking KB in the 1st R

17 years of NFL drafts had gone by before we selected our last WR in the 1st Round, and he was the only WR we took in the first round in team history before now. Coming into the 2014 draft, these are the positions we had taken in the 1st Round...

2 - QB (Kerry Collins, Cam Newton)

1 - WR (Rae Carruth, 1997)

3 - RB (DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart, Tshimanga Biakabutuka)

3 - OT (Jordan Gross, Blake Brockermeyer, Jeff Otah)

2 - DE (Julius Peppers, Jason Peter)

1 - DT (Star Lotulelei)

4 - LB (Dan Morgan, Jon Beason, Thomas Davis, Luke Kuechly)

3 - CB (Chris Gamble, Tyrone Poole, Rashard Anderson)

    • FLA showed everyone it’s not about superstars. they bullied the best line in the NHL into obscurity. they played hard, were in the right positions, and ran over everything that got in their way.
    • That’s really not what you said and when I even expressed doubt as to your intentions with the post you doubled down and remained unclear on whether you were trying to drag Dean Smith for whatever reason. You just got the facts wrong, which if you don’t follow the local college programs like you say then maybe you just were mistaken and thought Smith didn’t win championships or have legit superstars, and that is ok, but you just doubled down when my first post was more corrective than anything. I’m not sure what you expect posting objectively false things like “RBA has a lot of wins with nothing to show for it like Dean Smith” (paraphrasing) on a message board with plenty of UNC fans. I’m not taking it as a personal affront, we can agree to disagree, Dean Smith’s legacy fortunately will not be affected by this conversation. Screw the (Florida) Panthers?
    • Bring in the free agents and trades.  Florida is the best team and unless Tulsky makes it happen, it’s more of the same…which isn’t bad…but it’s time to win a goddamn cup.
