NFL Trade Rumors: Danny Amendola Traded To Carolina Panthers As Kelvin Benjamin To Replace Steve Smith?

Newton has continued to develop into a very solid QB and the Panthers are hoping Benjamin can step up as a rookie after the team allowed their receivers to go as free agents.

The Danny Amendola trade is more of an idea than a realistic option

A bad idea.... A really bad idea.

I'm starting to think that I could build a website and get Mr Scot, SCP, and 5 other random huddlers together and we'd be able to put out a better product than this rubbish. Not only reporting on the Panthers, but the entire league. Seriously tho... Amendola? The Glass man? fug NO!

Apparently that site is obsessed with trade rumors.

I looked at their NFL page and saw stories about rumored trades of Kirk Cousins for Mark Ingram, Morris Claiborne for Larry Foote or Chad Greenway, and even a scenario where the Vikings traded both Adrian Peterson and Christian Ponder.

The site is run by morons, teenagers or both.  They've got nothing to offer but garbage.

Edit: Their pages for other sports feature the same kind of crap.

bet they would start

trade newton to dallas for romo...

It is funny to me how the league refuses to acknowledge Cam as a top tier quarterback and top talent. Some have crossed over but not all.

Bottom line the best three quarterbacks to build a team around for the next 10 years is Rodgers, Cam and Luck.

    • Andy Dalton is a nice guy... But we aren't running a charity here. It's about damn time! Here's a VERY fun thread to revisit.
    • I really enjoyed it. Well put together recap of the season that showed the emotion of the ups and downs this season. Brought back a lot of painful and joyful memories. This was a strange season to say the least. I threw in the towel at least 2 maybe 3 times this year. Yet I was still relatively proud of the team and the fans by season ending. Hoping we can continue to build on this!
    • To be honest, I didn't read or hear of any decent goalies who may have been available. Sure, there was an article suggesting Florida may offer Bob, but look what happened- they're actually talking about a new contract for the UFA net-minder.  On the other hand, here's how someone else categorized the crickets chirping from the Canes: https://www.thescore.com/nhl/news/3481704/winners-and-losers-from-2026-nhl-trade-deadline The Hurricanes were in excellent position to make a splash but did nothing other than add some toughness to their fourth line in Nicolas Deslauriers. That's awfully disappointing for the Eastern Conference club, which entered the deadline with four first-round picks over the next three years, a strong farm system, and more cap space than any other contender. While Carolina doesn't have any glaring holes, upgrading the second-line center spot should've been a priority. Can it win a Cup with 5-foot-8 sophomore Logan Stankoven in that role? He's likely better suited to play wing. Adding a goalie would've helped, too, given Brandon Bussi's inexperience and Frederik Andersen's struggles. A depth defenseman wouldn't have hurt either. The Hurricanes have a pretty straightforward path to another Eastern Conference Final, considering how weak the rest of the Metropolitan Division is. But nobody should be surprised if they're once again outmatched by whoever emerges from the superior Atlantic Division, in part because of the inaction by GM Eric Tulsky. --------------------------------------- Exactly what a few of the astute regulars on this board have hypothesized, I might add. And if a handful of fans can see this.... well....
