Could be nothing but Trai Turner holding out?

Trai Turner hasn’t signed, yet

With the bulk of this year’s draft picks already under contract, there’s not much in the way of news when it comes to rattling off the various guys who have signed off on their rookie deals.

So here’s a bit of a curve ball.  Amid reports that the Panthers have inked third-round offensive lineman Trai Turner, a source with knowledge of the situation says it hasn’t happened yet.

While there’s no reason to think Turner eventually would be a training-camp holdout, the source said a deal between the Panthers and Turner isn’t even close.

And that’s as juicy as it gets when it comes to signing rookies under the new labor deal.

Figures, if it's true, and he's holding out... that our team would be the one to get the first hold out rookie in forever! and at Oline to boot. *smh*

But, I'm in the group of "plenty of time" people.

Didn't someone just post something about the Rams not having any of their rookies signed yet, until they went thru some financial learning classes or something? (I didn't really read up on it much)

Lol...

Gettleman's the kid that still had Halloween candy saved up in the summer. Little hoarding SOB.

Last homeowners we had left the bowl of candy on the porch with a note saying,"Help yourself!" Dwill, Jstew, and CJ were the first trick or treaters to the door, so yeah I'm happy to have a penny pincher around

    • It seemed obvious from the start.  Reich was fired because he pushed back on the QB. Wanted Bryce to sit behind Andy. Pretty sure.  Where I differ from a lot of people is that I never felt like Canales’ situation was dependent on successfully developing Bryce. I thought that was unreasonable and if he failed with Bryce it should be on Bryce and not on Canales, and he should get a chance with another QB. But that is not as good a bet as thinking the both of them were hired with the condition that Bryce had to be given every opportunity.  That seems a given.    I tell you, if Canales can make Bryce into even an average starter he is a miracle worker and should be in the QB coaching HOF.
    • I've been saying this for quite a while. There a pattern involved in all the transactions and camp/season activity that doesn't make sense unless you factor in than the GM/coach have been overruled from above.  I remember that during the hiring process it was widely rumored that Bryce had to be the guy as part of the hiring process and him staying there was a condition. Whether that's true or not, who knows for certain, but it does fall in line with a lot of the moves we've made regarding our QB room over the last 3 off seasons.
