I feel pretty good about this. No way our guys finish that far below average in production.

Ha, I know. But at least those are pre-Dave numbers (except for Hardy's tag price). If Gettleman can consistently get higher production relative to pay across our positions, we should be a consistent winner.

That's mainly to do with kb being on rookie salary

We have been very smart about how we are managing our receivers.  In a few years we will be doing the same thing with running backs.  Unfortunately defensive end will always be a position where you just have to spend premium money unless you can find what you need in the draft.  I expect the situation with Hardy and Johnson to work itself out by next year.  Unfortunately many folks won't be happy when at least one of them won't be on the team next year.

I bet we pay the least for corners,every o-line position aside from center and quite possibly safeties too.

 

I bet we are at the top for DE's and Dead Money.

 

Next year we will be in much better shape.

I think it would be really interesting to see a statistical cap analysis of all positions for the best teams over the past 5 or so years. 

 

I wonder if there is a correlation between positional spending and total wins. It'd be cool to see if there was a blueprint to determine what positions are the most valuable in terms of wins and losses and therefore deserve a bigger contract.
