I will say though that a lot of people who say the game sucks every year say that because they actually suck at playing it. In my opinion madden is not supposed to be a game you should just be able to pick up and play and expect to be good. It is a game of strategy and when you start playing high ranked games it much a lot like a chess match if the guy you are playing is legit and not a cheating POS.

Answer. It truly will be the best madden yet. Last year was a port, and the patience pays off. Qb accuracy plays a big part. Peyton and brady are unstoppable

I talked to guys who played the game too; they said the animations are still a joke and its still the same broken foundation engine, which I believe because EA Sports Tiburon effin' sucks.

The best Madden(s) ever were 2001-2004 on the old PS2, don't kid yourself. They have no clue what they're doing anymore

No.

They say the game sucks because it's nothing like you see in the NFL on Sundays, that's why. Broken zone coverage for how many years? Also how do you like the living sideline they made such a big deal out of with the fake players lol.

Want to play a sports game that feels like a real representation? Try MLB The Show. Light years ahead of Madden in every facet.

The NHL games EA makes kick ass though. I don't get why they can't get their poo together on Madden.

I'm as anti-Madden as they come, but comparing a baseball video game to a football one isn't really fair. It requires a very advanced physics engine to accurately capture the player interaction in football.

What pisses me off about Madden is how they completely ignore the little things (which 2K nailed, by the way). After plays why do the players still walk around like robots? Ridiculous that this is still around in 2014. Not to mention all of mechanics like zone coverage as you pointed out.

Edit: But definitely agree that the Show is as real as it gets. Not discrediting it at all.

Madden guys need to go through and actually check the Ratings on players. In my franchise mode kalil and Davis were both rated 75. Superstars like Luke weren't given superstar for the development category. It's like they only took their time with some times and just tossed others together. That's what madden does, they rush. Even after having a whole year and really even more time then that ( they know they will make one every yr) they still rush the game out with bugs like invisible players and 9'8 lbs with the ability to pick of anything in a 12 foot radius. It'd be nice if they took two years and made madden 16 come out in 2016

And when are they going to change up the demo teams? It feels like te 49ers have been on it for 5 years in a row. Sure they have a large fan base but it's not larger then all the other teams combined. Let some other fans be happy to play with their team early. Doesn't even need to be the panthers, could be the dolphins for ill I care just change it up.

if going from left to right shoot 3s from the bottom...haha. I can't tell you how many hours I wasted playing double dribble with my friends in the old days.

New York, Boston, Chicago, and LA.  That was it.

And who can forget the grainy, digitized version of the national anthem that played before every game as the fans filed in to the arena.  Only half the song though.

And yes, the supposed Larry Bird on Boston would not miss a corner three, even falling way out of bounds lol

Last year's Madden was simply awful. Coverage was completely non-existent. First Madden I haven't bought in quite a few years. Hopefully this year's is significantly better.

I finally drew a line in the sand and didn't buy last years either..  mostly because I promised myself it was a waste of money despite the hype.

This year I want to buy madden but we all know it'll be another flop..  There's something about playing football that keeps me coming back though..

It's the opposite.  Last year's Madden was way too easy.  Even playing on All-Madden, you could complete passes at will.  Hell, there was no reason to ever run.  You could complete 80%+ of your passes in any given game and most of the incompletions were drops.

I understand this I'm just saying there is a percentage of people who complain about the game because they don't know how to play it. I've have my issues with madden as well.

    • Roger all that. Do you think BY avoided any sacks last game? This oline is not what you're touting them to be. They are much better then 2023! Much much much better than 2023. But come on now, you'd expect this expensive oline (most are run blocking specialist) to at least dominate in the run game every game.  And... I keep telling you our WRs and TEs are not that good yet. I mean last Sunday was a prime example. Our receiving targets never make plays like those. Never. And this is from one of the worst teams in the league. Shough could have easily had 3 INTs if not for his receivers making plays on the ball. Our guys just don't do that. XL almost allowed an INT backing up out of bounds instead of coming to the ball. And everyone would have blamed that on BY. That's why he doesn't throw to that dude. I can't recall a game except maybe the second Falcons game - maybe, where I thought our receivers could possibly be better than the other team's. I think TMac and Coker have a lot of potential. But they're aren't consistent. But they're young and WILL improve. I'm confident of that.  I don't agree that BY was drafted to only stand in the pocket. He has always been best off schedule - for better or worse.
    • Do you think you will get a direct answer?  Icky giving up 5 pressures (playing hurt in his defense) by himself and Bryce only getting sacked once tells you he played well in the pocket.  He extended plays and converted some tough downs.
    • I've been very apprehensive about potentially firing yet another head coach. But Canales needs to focus on being a head coach first and foremost and begin handing off some responsibilities like playcalling duties and begin overseeing the entire team or we need to assess all possible ideal HC candidates in the offseason.
