Places with overly friendly customer service

Anyone else get blown up every time you go to a Home Depot? On top of vendors who bother you there's just too many greeters and whatnot. I swear they have a position for strictly finding customers with babies and doing the "cute" baby talk thing.

Smashburger does that.  They stop by your table 15 times to ask if everything is ok and if you like your burger.  Their customer survey asks questions about if anyone went out of their way to make your visit exceptional, so you know they are coached to try too hard.  It's too far the other way, to the point of being transparent and annoying.  It's a damn burger for fugs sake.  It's a good burger, but still just a burger.

Exactly. Some places try too damn hard to the point of being super irritating.

Asian massage parlors do it right though.

I work for Home Depot and I can tell you that it is a damned if we do- damned if we don't type of relationship. Either folks are complaining that we are not helping them or complaining that we are bugging them too much.

So which one is it?

    • Lions were never going Freeling over Miller for the same reason we wouldn't have taken Miller had Freeling not been on the board. Miller is a career RT Lions have a hole at RT, we have a hole at LT. If we took Miller, it would have been for him to backup Moton until he retires and/or we release him, so the best case scenario is it would have been a wasted 1st round pick for at least 1, if not 2 years.  At least Freeling has a shot at playing this year without injury ahead of him, he absolutely can win the LT job if he earns it, but Miller would have never supplanted Moton this year unless he got hurt.
    • What up y’all. I like threads like this where we can stroll down memory lane. I remember the insane amount of site traffic pre-crash when we signed Keyshawn Johnson, 06 I believe. Raging about the Cowboys Christmas Eve loss in 05 (Peppers touched that FG attempt as sure as Cotchery caught it). When I found the huddle I basically had a first born baby, now I’ve got one in college and one in high school. Life comes at you fast, but the Panthers and the Huddle has been a steady constant in my life for many years.  Those who have been here, y’all are cool with me any time any where.    Cheers, genitals!
    • This is a weird post since it wasn’t like we got A’s across the board. We needed a QB and got a consensus top 2 player at that position. (I was pretty vocal that Stroud should’ve been the guy but…)  I think this draft we generally got better value. I’m not particularly optimistic on BY but another year in this offense playing with TMac he really needs to be a consistently average QB at a minimum
