Comcast customer service yall

So this couple tries to cancel their Comcast service and end up with an 18 minute ordeal you have to hear to believe.

After the recording went public, a Comcast representative told Mashable that they were investigating the situation. "This isn't how our customer service representatives are trained to operate."

The customer started recording the call about 10 minutes in.

i had them when i lived up north....you have no idea they are spawns of satan.

i was told that my total bill with installation and everything the first month would be X amount of money and it was double that. I called to ask why and they literally did the same type of deal. tried to confuse me, said the customer service representative that originally gave me that price was wrong. i refused to pay. they billed me. i called them back and complained again, nothing happened. i refused to pay. they contacted the collection agency and i eventually paid.

i canceled my service obviously. it was unbelievable. comcast is the worst company i have ever encountered.

Comcast is literally the reason I don't have cable in my apartment. We didn't have the option between them and Verizon. It was Comcast or no TV. We chose no TV.

It's the worst company I've ever experienced in my life, which is why I'm so worried about them becoming a monopoly, or at best, half of a duopoly. Their extortion of Netflix, their horrible customer service, their remarkably bad quality of product. People outside of the Comcast area think that we up North who are in the thick of it are just First World Problem whiners. No no no. They are literally the grim specter of Death in the form of a company.

When I lived near the GA coast, I had them and the technician showed up with the wrong equipment.  It took me to trips to the service place each with 1+ hour waiting times, and they still couldn't get my sh*t right for me to just even swap.

Demanded a manager, he gave me their 120.00 package for 55/month.  That rate went up gradually over the course of a year to like 110.00/month.

On top of this, I wound up receiving a second non-HD box in the mail and had to basically throw them into a closet for a year because they wouldn't take them back for some reason.

I'm being charged for 105MS but all I'm getting is 48 called Comcast spent 90 minutes being transferred from dept to dept! I had to hang up on these pricks, the next day I call back they said their system was down and they would call me back to schedule a repair guy to come to the house..still no call

i have friends that work for call service companies. So i never and i mean never give those people any grief......that was until i talked to comcast. i talked to 3 different people and they all acted like they didn't give a poo. i actually yelled on the phone and i pride myself on keeping my cool.

also people i know who had them longer than a month complained that they kept adding charges to their bills for no reason. hidden charges. their bills just kept going up and up.

they don't give a fug about people.

I can't find the article now, imagine that an article about the shady practices Comcast uses being scrubbed from Google, Comcast pays a franchise fee to Greeley, CO. It's a percentage of the gross of subscribers. Every ten years the city council votes 7-0 to renew the contract. I'm no longer permitted at these meetings after asking questions during the time they take public opinion.

I'm actually ok with Comcast right now.  I mean over a year ago I called them to tell them that I'm getting an extra 100 channels that I wasn't paying for.  They confirmed I wasn't signed up for them and their system didn't show that I was receiving them.  They said it was just a glitch in the system.  It would go away on its own.  I called little while later when it was still doing it and they said to give it more time.  I've given them a year.  I didn't do poo.  I tried to tell them.  fug it.  I'm watching the channels still.

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
