Saints TE Watson 'not worried' about the Panthers

Didn't see the interview, so I'm not sure in what context it was said. Hopefully tongue in cheek. Watson is a smart guy, I'm sure he knows better than to write a team off because of that stupid no repeat champion thing.

Having said that, if he was serious, I'm sure Payton will have no problem dragging out the Week 16 tape to show them the reasons the Saints should be worried about the Panthers. I would like the confidence if it was for a better reason than, "Well, nobody has ever repeated."

Yeah that is true that there has never been repeat champs in our division and also that we have never had back to back winning seasons. While that is what history shows, I believe history will be changed this year. Watson really should have kept his mouth closed. Well before he opened his mouth, Cam mention something similair but was more focused on back to back winning seasons. I believe this team will be focused and is ready for a run to be repeat division champs.

The more the media and other teams put us down, the better I like it, 'cause I don't see the team buying into it. As for this latest bit of Panther disrespect, I can't take anyone seriously who uses 'right' in place of 'write'.

Kuechly has been able to ,  at times, slap around Graham, Gronk, Tony. G,  without the refs getting involved.......             Those are/were some of the biggest names at the TE position.       I'd hate to imagine what the refs would allow him to do to a guy like Watson.

A Saints fan... with intelligence? You're welcome around these parts anytime.

As for the division race, there is a historical correlation with the winner. So I truly can't be angry or upset with it being mentioned because it's absolutely accurate. That said, The Panthers have received an enormous amount of disrespect this off-season. It's as if analysts, journalists and fans have already written them off. We have an elite front seven and a young franchise QB who has yet to even reach his prime and is breaking records.

I guess what I'm trying to say is let's wait for the season start before we write off certain teams for the division crown.

The division thing has always seemed more like a fluke to me than anything. While it's strange it's lasted 11 years, there's not really any reason why a team can't repeat. I think it's silly to write a team off because of that streak.

I agree completely. At the very least, the Panthers will have a good D and Cam Newton. That's nothing to write off this early.

Just curious, I understand the "bulletin board material" mantra....but just how big do you guys think this bulletin board is? I see it every time someone "disrespects" the team.

Was this part of the renovations? To put in a bulletin board the size of the bog screens on the field to hold all of the article clippings?
