Rivera-we may get a RB

Recommended Posts

What I find funny is how much money we have invested at RB and yet we still need personnel.

It's these kinds of issues that keep us from building a SB contending team.

Nick Goings, come on down.

Wait...

Anyone remember 2005?? You know, the year we ran out of RB's. The last year we were on a good run to the SB. We went into the NFC championship game with Nick Goings as our single experienced running back. Gettleman's been there too with the Giants. To me, replacing an injured RB with another RB (what a concept!) is a plus.

So paying players a lot of $ is all it takes to make sure they're top performers and will have no injuries? Next time you might want to take time out from laughing and actually think before you post.

You need a good number of RBs in training camp simply because of the number of snaps they take. You don't want your starters worn out before preseason.

Seriously, can this just be the answer to this thread so people stop complaining about it? It's not like they will actually make the team.

Our RBs are overpaid whether they're injured or not. If they weren't overpaid, having cap room to secure another viable option if they were to get injured to help the run game, be it RB or Oline, would be easier...clearly. Also it'd help if we didn't award injured players huge contracts after the fact. I'm pretty sure stewy got paid knowing he was injury prone. Are there really people still out there thinking the money we invest at RB isn't a mistake, injuries or not? Lol

Your post has nothing to do with my point. There is no rebuttal to my point. It's a fact, not an opinion.

Felix Jones doesn't totally suck and he can also play that scat back role when needed

So role with Williams as the number one, Stewart as the number two (when healthy), and Jones as the scat back in screen situations and such.

Maybe a little competition will elevate Barner's game.

If Stewart is healthy....he will be our primary RB. He would be the best RB. A healthy 28 wouldn't be our #2.

I don't care about labels. Stewart would see the field the most. When everyone is healthy...RIvera opts for 28. Always has
