Yea..can't hate on the guy as a person..just a guy who shouldn't be in the business end of football and personal evaluation. Made some bone head trades on draft day etc...let alone the contracts. They offered him the job and he took it.The F.O should have put

someone in qualified for the position.

Ummmm...

Newton told former General Manager Marty Hurney on his radio show on ESPN 730 that things were overcomplicated under former offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski.

he forgot to mention the part where he said "it helped me for the future."

the people in that comment section are ripping him apart calling him forest gump to unprofessional.

let the haters hate. they have no idea just how good Cam is about to become.

Ummmm

I said "context", not that HE WAS speaking to his former GM (Gannt, could have explained it better/spoke up for Cam, than sensationalizing it as he did). That would be the proper context.

But I see what you mean, thanks for the correction.

Great recaps. Marty seems like a nice guy with more insight than the average espn personality or radio zoo crew. He made some dumb trades with draft picks and overpaying runningbacks, but he also left with a franchise quarterback, a defensive player of the year, and a superbowl appearance. More good than overall.

Chud comment is consistent with what we've heard from others. He didn't care about players actually learning the plays. He just wanted to see his genius on the field.

As much crap as we give Shula, I'm starting to think Chud might have been one of the biggest things holding us back the first two years of Cam despite all the numbers put up.

I'm of the same opinion.

I also remember them not letting Cam wear a wristband with plays on it. Wonder if that was Chad or Shula.
