My golden retriever Jake, shared the same birthday as Jake Delhomme.  Not really sure how it started but we ALWAYS had to have him inside in the TV room when the game was on.  We literally let him out to piss during commercials and would yell at him to get inside when the game was coming back on.

 

Anyway, for some reason my mom (who is anything but a betting woman) put $500 on the Panthers to win the SB in '03 about 5 games into the season when she was in Vegas with one of her friends.  The odds were to win like 15K or something, can't really remember.  But it got more and more serious as we kept winning, we would have more and more people over and my dog's presence was even more important.  Awesome ride. 

 

I also have a lot of little superstitions, like last year I got a new Kuechly jersey in the middle of the season, but wouldn't wear it because we went on the winning streak with my Jon Beason jersey.  So I never even wore it until the off-season.

It all started in 2004 when i started playing fantasy football. I got really into it for the first 8 weeks of the 2004 nfl season but when i realized i wasn't going to win like a bitch i deleted my team and moved on. After i deleting the team the panthers started winning everyone knows about that big comeback in 2004 i didn't think too much about it.

 

The following season i didn't play any fantasy football i figured i sucked at it so i didn't even bother with it. That season we went 11-5 losing to the cardinals. Still i didn't understand what i do now. the next two years i played fantasy football because it was getting bigger and bigger and i actually ended up winning in 2006 for a free league on espn and losing in a money league. For those two seasons the panthers had a losing record.

 

In 2008 i didn't play because i joined the navy and was primarily in boot camp and A school during the season. the panthers had a winning season that year. From 2009 to 2012 i played fantasy football like crazy because out to sea we have limited internet but still have it plus i didn't have anything else to do. I actually won a panthers huddle league one of those years. This past year i didn't play and low and behold we had another winning season.

 

TL:DR - Everytime i play fantasy football the panthers have a losing season and everyone time i don't they have a winning season.

 

Should i play this year?

 Im gonna be that guy I guess....... CHARGERS...   (cardinals 08)

My Superstitions vary from week to week.

What signs has the universe given me on game day? Did I hit a bird with my car? We gon beat the falcons by 50.

Did I see a man at church in a black suit with a gold tie? We gon lose to the saints.

Did I see a grotesque person laid in the streets with no teeth rambling about nothing while swatting at invisible beings? Eh, sometimes I have to drive through Gastonia but you get the point.
