Ginn and especially Lafail weren't worth the contracts the Cards and Patriots gave them. Hixon tore his ACL and retired. Smith is on his last legs and was declining fast. At the end of the day the whole WR core was expendable, and Cotchory, Avant, Benjamin > Smith, Lafell, Ginn. You're a dumb ass OP.

89, LaFell, Ginn and Hixon made up one of the worst WR units in the league last season.         What should a team do when it seems like an entire unit of a team is one of the worst in the league,  just dismal?     They cut the trash and start fresh.   The unknown isn't that much of a risk when the "known" was just horrible.

That is so true. From what I have seen so far, it looks like this guy is going to be a vortex on the field sucking in defenses. The benefit of this compared with actually catching the balls are almost equal. 

 

Didn't realize so many people were down on Smitty. Did anyone expect anything different from him? The guy's engine runs on spite juice and doubt oil. As he gets older he's just going to need more and more fuel as his body wears down. He'll find people slighting him anywhere he can because it only makes him stronger. Being sent to Baltimore is too good a motivational opportunity for him.  

 

But thats why I've always loved him, wouldn't have him acting any other way.
