What happened to the "what ____ fans are saying?"

Lol, the Seahawks fans last year said that they were going to beat us 49-0. Then, after the game, they were like, holy poo, the Panthers are brutal.

i remember reading post game seahawk fan reactions on another site and several of them were more or less stunned at how badly our defensive line whipped their offensive line and the overall tone the game had.  wilson's mobility and awareness saved their ass repeatedly.

if we duplicate that performance against tampa bay mccown might really get sacked 8 or 9 times.

I've mentioned before that I work right beside a huge Bucs fan. This is the first time in several years that we've both felt certain that our team is going to win.

I'm not worried. I like beating a team that truly expected to win.

To quote Moe from The Simpsons, "You know that little moment when people's hope dies? I feed on that."

I was going to do one this morning but forgot.

One guy on pewter report or whatever actually was on the money saying our defense will abuse Mccown and hold them to 3 points.

I counted two posters who actually had some commonsense. I was amused that a lot of those guys thought there front 7 is better than ours.

Just checking out their board. There's a lot of 30ish-10ish bucs. But the funniest thing I seen, most were claiming that we were only better at DE on D. Most actually think they're better DT!?

Geno atkins is a stud man, but we do have some excellent depth on the D-Line so I'd still say we have the advantage.

You mean Gerald McCoy? Geno plays for the Bengals. Tampa did sign Michael Johnson from cinci if that's who you mean.

Either way I think fans think having one great DT is better than two good DTs.

    • Well if we are being realistic doesn't what you just lined out already tell us where we are at? If the rookie UDFA kicker was the savior more often than not and we had a bottom 5 offense despite us having a #1 pick behind center who was billed predraft as a mini Payton Manning is that just going to magically change trajectory overnight with a tougher schedule added in? If we are going to repeat as division champions then it will be with the defense doing the heavy lifting. So keep adding to it.
    • Everyone keeps arguing all these teams have great TE's that made them successful. THATS BS! What makes those teams great is QB play and we don't have that. So again even getting a NON-INLINE TE who can run a fast 40 time isnt going to get us anywhere without competent QB play consistently. Which we don't have by a long shot. So honestly all these great teams have a TE argument doesnt hold water to me.  Mahomes would be nasty without Kelce, Lamar would blow you away without Andrews, does it help? of course any weapon will help but only if you have someone making those correct reads week to week. When we have that then I'd be all in on a game breaking TE but unfortunately we are stuck with one of the most inconsistent starting QB's currently in the NFL.  Not to mention all the TE's mentioned are COMPLETE TE's not just a receiving threat with drop issues which Sadiq does. Argue all you want but nothing will change that fact other than getting a consistent QB week to week in a Panthers uniform which doesnt seem to be happing anytime soon.
    • They don't have guidelines for hand size for the backup QB.
