Keys to Panthers Victory:

- Apply pressure to Stafford early and often, do not give time for Johnson and Tate to roam free

- Establish run game early

- More Greg Olsen. Detroit was weakest on defense in the middle of the field last week, Olsen's territory.

Prediction:

Panthers 24

Lions 23

    • He rushed for 74 more yards than Chuba did last year. He also played in all 17 games versus 15 for Chuba.
    • He's played like an average starter in maybe a third of his career games. Below average to bad in the rest. My point is that if you put a 200 yard RB behind pretty much any NFL roster caliber QB he's going to be able to play like an average starter leaning on that running game. But we're talking about a third year #1 overall pick with 30+ starts under his belt and we're still having to grade on a massive curve like we're playing some young mid-round pick who was drafted to be a backup. If that was the type of guy we were playing yeah, everyone could be happy about it but it's not. It's a guy we mortgaged the franchise on because the organization thought they were getting a franchise QB who could carry a team and we're still having to try to find ways to carry him.
    • Miles Sanders rushed for damn near 1300 yards in Philly. More than any season for Chuba. And I didn't "poo" on Chuba. That's your interpretation. I think he's a gritty between the tackles running back, but he isn't a homerun threat. Never has been. He's a consistent get you positive yards back.
