After two weeks, the Panthers Remain in the Ranks of the Unbeaten

First time since 2008.  The longest we've gone undefeated is five weeks back in 2003 correct me if I'm wrong.  So, how long do you think we will be undefeated this season my dear Carolinians?  I'm too biased to ask myself this question.  I always look to go 19-0 every year.  Yet I will say we have a great chance of doing that this year.  We have the best defense in the league, and our offense have the ability to put up crazy numbers. (I would say it's top ten or better)

Now it's only two games, but I've seen an interesting trend.  The first game we scored 20 points while allowing 14.  This past Sunday we scored 24 points and allowed 7.  We've seen an increase in our points while a decrease in our opponents' points.  Also, we didn't allow any points from opponents in the first half.  With this defense, and our explosive offense, I think we could beat any team in the league 8 to 9 times out of 10.

im pretty confident we will beat the Steelers.. with that said

week 4 @Ravens

week 5 Bears

week 6 @Bengals

week 7 @Packers

week 8 Seahawks

there are 2-3 loses in there somewhere. if we make it out of there with a 6-2, 5-3 record i will be very pleased

The Bears can be a scary team.  If I had to pick, I'd say we will have problems with Chicago and Cincinnati..

That is correct, I believe we will beat the Seahawks.

The bengals I think are our only lock for a loss on there, we are better then the ravens and packers IMO, and the bears and Seahawks play here, we will want revenge on the Seahawks, the bengals have a very good defense with a decent offense and we play in their house, it will be the toughest of those. And because of it being Afc one of the less important.

We have a mid-range offense, the question is how good is our defense, after this week you could say we have the best defense in the NFL. And that will carry us a lot. And cam's ability to extend drives in none traditional ways a game breaker when our offense is out there so it's a very curious thing

I see these as tough games (some mores than others), but after seeing how this team has played so far I'm not really scared of any of them. I think this team is a lot more serious, focused and talented than we have been in the past, with a coaching staff that knows how to get the most from our strengths and prevent the other guys from being able to exploit our weaknesses too much.

The bears and the Bengals are the only teams I'm concerned about.

The Seahawks were exposed this week.

I still think there is a great chance we remain undefeated through week 8

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
