The Greg Hardy thread....for everything Hardy related

There is more than SI reporting this story.  You're ignorant to believe so and just like most Panthers fans if this was a Saints player your tune would be much different.  You're all too close to the story and do not even realize that most people do not give two shits about Greg Hardy and this case.

Most are caught up on Adrian Peterson, Ray Rice, #FreeOurGirls, and looking for Chaundra Levy.  Most people are idiots but that does not excuse that Greg Hardy needs help.

I'm not hip enough or cool enough to know what Jon Snow is, but you ruined any response I'd give you because of your picture of something really stupid and irrelevant - sorry I am just not hip enough, but how about you show pictures of the victim instead?

No-- the difference is most of us CARE soo much that we actually KNOW the presented FACTS in the case...

Yes GH needs help; in picking women...

This is a very different situation, and one in which if there was video evidence, or ANY PICTURES supporting holders claims then we as fans would have been calling for GH's head.

We put class above our players, we are Class..

Little Ray Rice hits his woman ONCE and knocks her out...... Hardy supposedly BEATS the crap out of holder and she walks away without even a black eye????

get real dude... GH is twice Rices size... the whole story is about a dude who was screwing a money hungry crazy coked out bitch who lost her poo after 8 hours of drinking and partying...

Are you unaware that my dog is sleeping on the couch? You're so misinformed! Come back when you've followed my cat's Twitter account

I actually laughed so hard on that because I started reading it as if you were the buffalo guy and realized mid-sentence you were a friendly.  Fired up over here am I.  LOL.

Oh and to BuffaloBills since you are lurking, this is not about personal attacks or a belief of mine that hardy is innocent.  i truly believe that this has been a railroading by the media and wish people were more cautious/hesitant before adopting their premanent position on this.  I myself will be leaving the thread for a while, so any responses will be addressed accordingly.

I smell some bullshit coming around that will be used to deflect the reality that Godell and the NFL saw Rices tape (we all know he did) and we also all know Hardy is innocent otherwise this is Big cats team - he would have been cut long Loooooooong ago .

So - if the NFL goes after Hardy in the gist to save face while the real criminal is well being protected and our hard earned time investment being shredded ( don't beleive all that Mario crap and you can replace Hardy Bla bla bla: they're not paying him $13 million because he's that easily replaceable)

Let's go after Godell : we know one simple thing : players really really hate this guy.

It's not that hard : we just need to start a petition and email it around and watch that baby catch fire.

Every NFL fan and player knows that roger should have been served walking papers.

I've never seen a man with more blood in his face while lying on national television.

So Godell thinks my Sunday's don't matter as a fan and wants to take away my players and have me wait I don't know another 5 years to build a kick ass team - well fug that poo.

This so called the NFL shield is nothing but bullshit of young men killing themselves running at each other at 100 miles per hour.

The NFL is an organization bent on mining the illusion of opportunity for all this young athletes and suppress them at every turn when they demand a fare share.

We the fans have every single dollar extracted through tax breaks , $30 dollar parking fees anyone and $10 dollar hotdogs as if it will make my life any better. Oh and despite making 9 billion a year : that poo is tax free.

So if you're going to take my money and line up the TV with some of the best athletes in the world : who clearly need every single dose of that HGH and Marijuana to recover their bodies from decades of continuous wear and tear : I don't get my Sunday's back and I won't take kindly to someone using players as pawns while that fool collects $14 mill a year.

It's really not that impossible to get godell canned. Greater leaders have fallen for less.

    • Sure it does, maybe not every position and not every draft.  You have to admit the hit rate goes down the further in the draft you get.  Would you more readily find a generational talent at the #2 pick or #19 pick?  High picks are considered "busts" if they doesn't pan out, whereas guys drafted later don't have that level of scrutiny upon them.  Different expectation levels.  If Styles does indeed go #2, I already listed the rarefied air that he would be in.  Maybe he doesn't set the League on fire, but my gut feeling is he does.  Again, you don't take an off-ball LB #2 if he is just a 'really good' player.
    • To illustrate my point, I watched (and commented on the Huddle) that Rozeboom would often wait a full second (or close to it) before taking his first step.  I assume that he probably had issues with false steps, a faulty practice that can take an ILB out of the gap completely.  Watch Luke and you see a step with the snap, and rarely was it a false step.  Rozeboom may have had 100 tackles (speculating) but initial contact was 2-3 yards on the defensive side of the ball.  Luke's 100 tackles were made 1-2 yards from the LOS.  Over the course of a year, Luke was much more productive (more fumbles, fewer long gainers, more OL penalties, fewer first downs, etc) that Rozeboom, but on the stat sheet, they both had 100 tackles.  In fact, Rozeboom's inefficiency kept him on the field more (more first downs, fewer OL penalties, turnovers, and punts) so he should have MORE tackles.   I would like to see stats that break down those things.   For example again, Josh Norman was slow--4.68 or so at CB.  However, his anticipation speed was incredible.  He made as many plays as a 4.4 CB.  I had one coach (college--later became the head coach at WCU) tell me that slower players have to use their brains more to still be around.  Elite athletes can just get by on their physical superiority.  He added, "Rarely does a football player run full speed.  Most of the time, they are not, so the 40 time is misleading stat.  Smart players overcome shortcomings--when the elite athlete becomes average (slows with age, advances in level of competition) they struggle against smarter (football IQ) competition.
    • Obviously tongue in cheek hyperbole. But we do not need a first round RB to competete for a championship. We need intelligent roster building. That to me is the complete opposite of intelligent roster building because it is a prime resource at a devalued plug and play position when we have needs across the defense.
