Should we go after Vincent Jackson from Tampa Bay?

Heckle all you want, I don't feel bad about it. It was for fun, and I had fun thinking it up. The key parts were getting V-Jax and that the stars aligned. Of course the salary cap doesn't work like that, and we'd never NEVER EVER trade in the division, just roll with it. Assuming the salaries had to be roughly equal, logical thing to do is trade away some depth to get V-Jax. Why not trade away older and more costly guys? They get hurt more, play in less games, and are generally slower than the younger guys.

only joking kind sir, more or less was poking fun at the op. Sick of seeing "We should go after *insert reciever here* ".

no worries! we're all panther fans here. Anybody smart enough to cheer for the same team as me deserves my respect. Save the hate for falcon, saint, and buc fans.

This is the perfect time for us to get a lethal weapon on offense and really take us over the top and win the superbowl. Jackson might be on the block soon considering Tampa already drafted a younger version of Jackson with Mike Evans. Tampa is likely to be rebuilding this year and it makes no sense for them to keep Jackson if they aren't going to contend.

Why not go all out this year and get that missing piece. Can you imagine Jackson/Benjamin/Olsen with Cam throwing them the ball? Just the thought of it has me excited. I say we should be all over this!

What would you guys give up for Vincent Jackson?[/

It's just not realistic considering cap constraints, the conservative nature in which G-man covets his picks, and the fact that teams don't like trading key pieces to division foes.

I would much rather try and obtain a receiver like...like...Denarius Moore :) . He has the speed that is missing from our offense, is a legitimate play maker, should be open to a short term contract, and should be cheap to acquire.

Why do that when we have Stephen Hill for a cheaper price?

    • Been here since middle school right when it started around 2003 after the charlotte.com one. Living outside of Carolina it was tough to find good Panthers content, news or analysis. And no one to talk to about it. This place gave me a lot though I don’t often post. In the later days, I particularly Loved PhillyB’s write ups. They were fire. Too bad I go let it go. I appreciate the hell out of @MHS831 @TheSpecialJuan @Jackie Lee and others who have been posting great content and keeping this place worth coming back to. Particularly during the offseason. Appreciate y’all!
    • Nice explanation, but I was just messing with you. Thought that would be obvious. I dont have the energy to keep on trolling. Last season I compared our situation with Bryce as a potential Alex Smith, but what we should be looking for is our version of Mahomes. Some people will read that as one sentence, to me that single sentence is equivalent to a half A4 explanationf of the teams pathway forward.
    • I dont know how much of his salary would come across and how much a trade would cost but I feel Kmet would be the sort of TE Canales and Morgan would like
