DeAngelo Williams, Jason Avant, Jericho Cotchery questionable for Sunday

Panthers.com reporting a few hours ago, I didn't see a thread on here.

This is potentially worrisome, especially since it looked like Cam was starting to build some chemistry with both of these guys. Avant has looked surprisingly good in the screen game, which is an asset when you've got offensive line issues. The veteran prowess as possession receivers these guys bring to the field cannot be underestimated and I think we're in deep poo if they can't play on Sunday. The Steelers have enough speed on offense to make some big plays downfield if our pass rush isn't top notch, and if we're suddenly caught trying to play catch-up it could be an ugly night.

Cross your fingers that at least one of these guys can play Sunday. Bersin has been a pleasant surprise, and obviously Kelvin Benjamin is gonna be GOAT, but I don't like that lineup at all.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
