Now there are bigger fish to fry tonight but don't let him overall get lost in it

he once against showed he is probably the dumbest player on our team. He is gonna cost us a game too if he stays on the field.

He tried to scoop Philly's fumble. On the 3rd down stop prior to the fumble he easily could of been flagged and let Pitt keep driving with dumb shoving after the play, went offsides on the FG with Horton, etc.

Philly should have fell on it first his fault all the way around

No doubt.

But it would have been nice for non rookie who has been here for years.....who was in position to save us from the rookie's blunder to of done it. When you play rookies you depend on vets to help cover some of there mistakes. He thinks like a rookie.....and he will get us in a later game

I get that people like him because he's physically gifted and we have this affinity for unheralded players and whatever. I'm not trying to poo on anyone's player crush. But he's an old rookie, he makes the very same mistakes he made when he first arrived and appears to have the instincts and football IQ of a tree stump.

No one on defense exactly covered themselves with glory today, so not trying to pick on just him, but I really don't see why we keep him around.

I honestly think we should cut Norman. Cason was terrible though so we may have to put up with it. Mel should've had a TD thrown on him but he got a gift from the refs. Bene shows promise but I really don't know about him being a quality starter on the outside. Should stick to nickel for now. We really need to address CB/S in the draft early and we REALLY REALLY need Hardy back.

just fall on the freakin ball...I don't get it.  This is coached from pee wee on...fall on the freakin ball.  Had he covered it up, we might have won this game.  Instead, we get embarrassed.  We may not see Philly in a while...Stephen Hill, come on down.

Also, plant your fuging feet on the 10 and don't move, let the ball go over you.  Philly is a mental midget.

    • A winning record would be nice, but I still have us winning around the 6 to 8 game mark. Realistically we should beat the Jets and Saints, that gets us to 5 wins. After that, we have to face a lot of potential play off teams and our divisional opponents. I think we’ll win 1 or 2 of those games to take us to 6 or 7 wins, perhaps 8 wins if we can spring a further surprise.  Is that enough progress for head coach and QB? I’m not sure, it will depend on performances and output. That said, it’s nice to be back in a position where we are thinking about the play offs.
    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
