remind me when we can finally move on from D-Will and J-Stew?

Come on, we do know. Minnesota at least has two very solid OL (Pro Bowl caliber). I mean, give Stewie and Tolbert some damn credit. They've got to break tackles in the backfield to even regain positive yardage. It's not fair to them to take the heat. It all starts up front. In addition, it doesn't help the situation when opposing defenses stack the box.

It's not that I'm taking anything away from them.  Deangelo will be 32 next year and Stew god bless him just can't catch a break.  Neither one of them are available as of now so it's pretty fair to say that they're done as a dual running attack, and no, I'm not saying that's all on them.  I'm just accepting their best days as a tandem have passed.  It'll be good to get some fresh meat in there anyway.

Also..very doubtful they will both remain on the roster for much longer.

And theeeeen we decided it was cool to pay 13 mil to a single player not named Cam or Luke. And we ended up screwed anyways. Proof that paying for overpriced players doesnt always guarantee production. The NFL really is a crapshoot business. I kinda feel bad for Gettleman in this whole situation. Makes him look like an idiot even though theres no way he could have known this would happen.

Although on the other hand he had zero business paying money like that for a player who could jave been easily replaced in FA for half the price. Nobody on this team beaides Cam and Luke should even get close to that level of pay grade. Period. A cheaper replacement with minimal drop off can always be had on the market.

Please Gett Dawg, never overpay for a player again.

I don't know about that, Star is going to command big bucks when the time comes, and rightfully so.

I wanted him gone the second he signed Jake to that retarded contract after he threw 5 picks in the playoffs.

I can't even believe he stayed after Fox left.

Because this organization always favors continuity over change, and at a time when more change was needed than ever before, JR elects to wait until someone proves themselves completely inept before letting them go, hence the 4 seasons of dread we all had to sit through from 2009-2012.

Even before 2013 when Chud left and we had to scramble to find an offensive coordinator, and Hue Jackson was there, who did we decide to go with? We promoted Mike Shula, and look what Hue is doing in Cincinnati right now. Andy Dalton is catching touchdown passes in his offense.

Look at what Fox is doing when he is not in total control and forced to change.

    • Ppl want to trade Melo? Am I wrong for thinking that would be a bad idea?
    • Some of you act like one can't learn from experience over time. Just because you may not know what you're doing in 2018 doesn't mean that you don't know what you're doing in 2025. Frankly, you grow from experience, and success and excellence gives first-time applicants the hand probably 99.999% of the time.
    • It's an interesting topic of conversation as sports evolves. I think ultimately it would lead to a number of small market franchises folding though. Especially in the NBA where there are so many bad teams that have been bad for years and years in some cases already. But as it stands I think athlete pay draft or no draft aside has reached a point where we can and should realistically ask should they make that much compared to the average person. Now college athletes is a different conversation but even that reaches a breaking point. But we could go down the rabbit hole on this even further into overall entertainment and talk about actors making absurd sums too. In the end I think in sports the powers that be won't allow these changes to even be considered because it opens the door for so many other variables. But who knows how long sports like football will realistically be around after people like us pass on. We're only just now learning about things like CTE which the league and the sport in general will only be able to run away from for so long. As far as the NBA goes my understanding is viewership has been steadily going down for a number of reasons but one crucial aspect is key players missing so many games. The NBA has to figure that out regardless. Especially when considering fans who pay to see these athletes compete in person. But hey I guess let's just try to appreciate what we've got while it still exists in this form eh?
