Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Drew Brees, & even the new golden boy Andrew Luck have all played behind terrible lines in their career.

This "Dave doesn't like Cam" nonsense needs to die, or be killed. The VERY first thing Dave said at his introduction conference was the #1 thing a team needs is a QB & how Carolina had a very good QB. He lit up like a kid in a candy store & talked about how lucky he was & that he walked into a gold mine with Cam & Carolina.

Lol, this isn't about Dave no liking Cam, it's about how he's handled the poo other than Cam. Which, is to say, awful. Could he do more to help Cam out? Yeah, absolutely. Getting rid of Shula would be the perfect #1 on that list, but, it's not about that. It's about fielding the best team possible.

No one here can tell me that Byron Bell was the best option out there for LT.

It's not really the flawed team that I don't really like (other than a few decisions which are ridiculous to me, like keeping Shula), it's the handling of the Steve Smith situation and the handling of the Hardy situation. Both were just, I dunno, so bungled, that's it's hard to take the guy seriously.

That, on top of the fact that Smitty was just like, "LOL SALT IN THE WOUND" doesn't help, either.

I disagree on both counts.  While I didn't necessarily like to see Smith released I think it was for the best.  Greg Hardy I am uncertain on but I don't think it was necessarily "bungled."  I am just glad I didn't have to decide if he plays or not.

Also, that is what having Steve Smith not on your team is like.  He is pretty much an asshole when it comes to football.  When he was a Panther he was our asshole.  Now he is just an asshole again.

fug Shula though.

I agree that Smitty is an asshole, but the dude deserved some more respect that, "hey man, gtfo". I doubt there were any locker room dynamics at play, either, because judging by what Cam and Smitty have both said, they've kept in contact since his release. This seems more like an ego at the top thing.

We couldn't afford the best option.
