Cam not interested in pay-as-you-go Kaepernick/Dalton contract, wants huge money upfront

I believe it. Nothing controversial here and La Canfora really likes Cam.

Yea, I don't doubt the theory here is sound but I never trust "sources with knowledge of the situation."  I wouldn't blame Cam for wanting better deals than Kap or Dalton.  He's considerably better than they are, has done more with less and is much more critical to his team than they are.

Last year I felt that Gman didn't want Cam but now I'm pretty sure he does. Nothing happened to change my mind other than Cam has shown much improvement so now I see him with a very nice contract to stay here.

Wont be up to Gman.  Think Richardson will make the final call on Cam no one else.

If the front office believes in Cam and believe that he is our future, he will get a big contract...that isn't overly team friendly with a kick cause in it every year. If they believe that we can win with any qb......they will lowball him with a psy-as-you-go contract, like the 9ers and Bengals did.

Actually I think Cam is going to get a 160 million dollar deal, and Kuechly later on will get a 100+ million dollar deal. We will be the first team with two player contracts over 100 million.

Over 100M for a ILB?

Willis got a 50M deal. Even the full retard Panthers wouldn't do that

In fact, sources said, with the Seahawks facing having to re-do Russell Wilson's deal after this season, it would be quite unlikely Newton's camp would have any inclination to enter any intense negotiations at this point until ascertaining what Wilson's deal looks like (it's almost unfathomable that Wilson, an MVP candidate, would not have a new deal prior to the start of the 2015 season).

Russ and Cam have the same agent, actually.

*shudder* I'd have to swear off the internet for at least two weeks.

Don't see that happening in the next few years because the team could use the Franchise Tag.

But down the road, could I see the team deciding that having too much money assigned to one player isn't something they want to do?

It's a legit possibility.

Whether or not it's the wisest choice would be a pretty huge debate.
