Gameplan for Wilson?

1. Keep him off the field as much as possible.

2. Limit Beast mode.

I know it's wishful thinking but from what I saw in College Ealy was more of a run defender than pass rusher. Not asking for a break thru game but need to have the DE step up and help limit the rushing game. Not saying it will be Ealy but someone needs to contribute.

Luke and TD have been huge reasons RBs have gashed us by simply not being themselves

Matchup wise....our secondary won't be as exposed this week

but even then, keek and TD aren't enough. at their best, they can not shut down offenses/run games/whatever if the guys around and esp. in front of them aren't doing their jobs and if they have to worry about the slackers behind them.

They don't have to do it all. We have shown we can play good run defense still....it is mental lapses that have caused good run defense games to be horrible and the LBs get blame on most of those. They weren't doing it all before there goof.

Ain't nothing we can do about our pass D unless we start throwing the kitchen sink at teams living and dying with the blitz.

I actually think we beat Seattle.

Then get beat by NO like we stole something

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
