Josh Norman to start vs. Seattle

I cant wait too see Josh Norman as a finished product because he has so,so, much upside in the physicality department now if he could only get it together in the mental department, well, just then we might have a legitimate #1 corner, who very well could grade out as a top 10 corner in the NFL,but only if...?

we need the josh norman from the 13 preseason , he has the talent to be better then richard sherman and i believe he is better then sherman , norman has good size , fast as hell and great instincts , it should be him and melvin but an odd feeling is that there going to start cason which is garbage

What is he your cousin?

People may disagree with me on this, but I have always believed Josh Norman would be a better Free Safety than CB. It would allow him to use his physicality in run defense and his ball hawk skills as the centerfielder of the defense. I know it won't happen, at least with this staff, but that's I'd do.

And I'm new and I can't start a topic so I'll say it here. Cason sucks, DeCoud is a pansy, and Harper is just beat up and old. This is what I would do as an armchair coach. Norman is inserted at FS, Tre Boston is my starting SS(he has that Mike Mitchell quality), and I'm rolling with White at one CB spot and once he is healthy, Bene Benikerwere is my other starter.

CB: White

CB: BB(once healthy)

SS: Boston

FS: Norman

NB: Cason.....let him his turnovers there. If he still sucks, insert Dockery or Colin Jones

Oh, and another problem. I was at the Panther-Bengal game. Watching our defense, we run some of the SOFTEST cover scheme's I have seen this side of the 08 Cardinal playoff game. CB's giving 10-15 yard cushions, the FS lining up like its a damn hail mary play, NB's not getting set in time. It's pathetic. Maybe it's my hatred the zone defense coming out, I favor a man press coverage. Gotten play closer to the WR's.

And we screwed Robert Lester. That's all. Nice to meet you guys!!!

    • This is huge may not be a trap game but this plays a major part in what they want to do. If we can get some pressure on Sam we know what he does with pressure coming hit and heavy. Also we may be able to take the top off their defense a backup safety trying to stop TMac or Cooker over the top or forcing him to play the backend should allow us to run the ball somewhat effectively. Either they allow some runs or we take some shots and if Bryce and whoever can connect deep we’ll be in business for another big time win against a top notch opponent. Might not be a trap game but health travel game plans all play a major role in each weeks game plan and this week might be leaving our way. We’re missing some replaceable pieces they’re missing key anchors to the offense and defense major difference time to solidly ourselves at one of the top teams in the nfc tomorrow fellas buckle up.
    • Yes.  If I am not mistaken, we need to sign Coker to the ERFA tender and insist that XL spends his spring and summer at a WR camp and not Coon huntin on his four wheeler.  XL was raw when we picked him--which is why I wanted to go another direction--and we are seeing how raw.  He is basically learning a position.     The Panthers will make their move in 2026 to be an NFL powerhouse behind Bryce.  Bryce needs intelligent WRs who catch the ball.  That said, we need a solid #2 to challenge XL and make cutting him easy, if necessary.  A #2 WR (intented to be a #1 by now) with under 400 yards is embarrassing.   On offense, you have to ask, "Where can we get better?"  In my view, #2 WR, TE (although they are improving) and maybe C (again, if we re-sign Mays, he is trending up and at 26, entering his prime--I say stay with him and find competition later in the draft (not good for C).  OL depth maybe?  In other words, XL is a glaring weak spot.
