What's the difference between Bersin, Coctchrey, and Avant?

WOW!!

while I agree with the sentiment, how will having a speed guy help when Cam has less than 2 seconds to throw? I would think you want shorter routes with a WR that can catch anything near them. But of course any of these ideas are way over Shula's head.

Not advocating for Hill, but we need more speed on the field. We're currently 23rd in YAC. No opponent has to worry about getting beat deep when they play us unless Philly is on the field, and he's far from proven.

So yes, we need more speed.

Speed at least takes away safeties from rolling double coverage to KB or Olsen so maybe they get more chances in the short game with less attention.

Do you know why Ray Charles was such an amazing artist? Because he could utalize both the ebony and ivory. Each one had their place. Each had their own job. He would not ask more than they were capable of performing. They are all vital in this organazation.

Quick screens that's how.  The Broncos destroy with those quick jet screens.

While I like most of the ideas presented about the need for speed. Unfortunately we are missing one important factor. We do not have a competent offensive coordinator. Shula wants a slow methodical ball control offense and so does Rivera. Honestly the only offense Shula knows is slow and methodical. That's the offense he ran at Tampa and Alabama.

Pretty much, Philly is our only real speedy, deep threat on the active roster.

I actually think he would excel in this role, but he hasn't had many opportunities to this point. Showed solid hand in his limited action, and drew a PI against Cincinnati.

If not for that interference, Philly was breaking loose on that play, iirc

I don't understand the obsession with Bersin. He's made a few catches but he's still not as good as Cotchery or Avant. He pooped himself on punt returns as well. Everybody thinks because he's "smart" he doesn't need NFL experience.

Same thing with Norwell, Foucalt, and Nate Chandler last year. The most popular man is always the backup. Robert Lester became Steve Attwater on the practice squad...it goes on and on.
