comments from Saints fans that aren't very optimistic about their chances tonight:

-I think this game will be much closer than people think. We are -6 in TO differential while Carolina is +4. Thats a 10 point difference so I will bet on the home team. Because we beat GB suddenly we are world beaters. Our defense didnt improve any and I just think the road woes rear their ugly head and we looking forward to our 3 straight road games after a short week. Carolina is who we are competing with for the division so we should split this game.

-Its a division game on the road for first place in the division... This game will be in question until 00:00 left on the clock. I just hope the team that played GB shows up and not the team that played Dallas.

-This one will keep us on the edge of our seats, that's for sure. I HOPE that we destroy them. HOPE. I love those games when we're up 28-10 in the middle of third quarter and score another TD to make it 35-10. Then they flash the opponent's sideline and they all look like they need their mamas. I don't believe this is the case tonight. I hate superlatives, so I won't say that division games are always close, but many times, they are. I expect this to be a good one once both teams get their legs under them. I see a slow, sluggish start through the entire first quarter for both teams, and then the adrenaline really kicks in and they get going.

-It's a divisional away game, as much as I want it to be a blow out I see it being a close one.

-Our stats are night and day Home and Away. I knew everyone would go bonkers when we beat GB and now everyone thinks we gonna just run right through Carolina like they arent even there. Dont be surprised if we lose this game by a TD. We not winning the game by more than 3 points. I am betting on Carolina while the getting is good. This is what you call public overreaction. Everyone saw the Saints beat GB on national TV and now we playing the lowly Panthers. They dont have a shot. Im saying they have a great shot at winning which is why im putting my money on them.

-If we win it will be by 2 points. Panthers getting their RBs back will give that offense plenty options to confuse our porous defense. The Panthers D is getting healthier so we not going over there and hanging 44 on them. I will be surprised if we score more than 24. Olsen will be used in the slot and will get plenty opportunities. The Panthers will be ready even with their makeshift Oline, Cam will run all around our defense because we arent good at containing a running QB. I hope we win but I dont see it.

-it will be a close game and come down to the final 2 minutes.

-In the end, I believe the most accurate gauge of who will win tonight will be turnovers! Lets hope we win that critical battle!

-Seattle just beat them in their house. I am sure they gonna get up for this one. They dont want to lose 2 straight at home.

-I am not sold on this team until they show they can win on the road. Granted, both teams need the win, but I feel the Panthers need it more. I cannot see them losing two in a row at home. Hoping for the best, expecting the worst. Who dat, anyway! st. dave
