What if we won out?

Ridiculous question I know. But what if?

Say we win out or lose one game, make it to the NFC championship game with all of our injuries, Hardy situation, porous o-line, secondary issues, etc.

How many would still be saying "fire Shula", Ron will never lead us to a Superbowl, etc.

Just another way of looking at it.

Valid question.

To those saying "if we make the playoffs, the coaches have obviously turned it around," I have to respectfully disagree.  We could totally make the playoffs this year without 1 thing changing from the coaches, that's how bad the NFCS is.  Now, if we get to the playoffs and win some games, that's a different story.

shula is a lost cause.  If we average 40 ppg for the rest of the year and win the Super Bowl I still want him gone.  Those 40 ppg would be a result of Cam, Olsen, KB and company stepping up, not shula.

If we win some games in the playoffs, I want Rivera kept.  I mean, the man showed us last year he DOES know how to win.  He seems to have forgotten it this year, there's been a number of situations where he had the choice of coaching like 2011-12 Ron or 2013 Ron and in most cases he chose the former.  If he can get the winning mindset locked in, instead of being afraid to let it take over, he'll be a good coach for the most part.

Would rather win and not be in a miserable mood every Sunday until the seasons over, even if we'd be one and done in the playoffs.  I'm not convinced more embarrassment would force a change anyway, its pretty clear that there needs to be changes no matter where our record ends up.
