Cam looks ready to quit. Check that. He appears he already has. And I LOVE Cam. But he has quit this team. I don't blame him, this team has failed him, but your QB should never quit. Never. There are, at most 23 games left in Cam's Carolina career, folks. Time to come to grips with that sobering thought.

Your QB should quit when your GM puts him behind imaginary blockers.

How many times have you been repeatedly pummeled by NFL DEs, DTs, and LBs, brah?

Cam being injured means he can no longer do this, and because he can't make miraculous scrambles right now, the offensive line is being exposed, right along with Rivera, Shula, and Gettleman, who will all blame him for what happened tonight. The blocking in this gif isn't any better than anything you've seen tonight or the last few weeks. The difference is Cam Newton can't move this way.

He has looked very slow.

Because the receivers are actually open and Cam just doesnt see them. On that 4th and 1, there were two players open and Cam throws it deep and out of bounds.

The offensive line is garbage but when a defense blitz, you hit your hot route, you dont try and spin out of the sack and lose an extra 5 yards the process.

And Cotchery also stopped his route on that pass. There is enough blame to go around for everyone.

agree the team overall is crap..the o line is garbage, cam makes bad decisions even when he has time.defense looks nothing like last years.

Disagree... except the oline part.

Cam is trying to stay in the pocket like he's supposed to do. Your oline can not get knocked on their a$$es like this over and over again right in front of your QB.

The defense has really done a good job considering offensive ineptitude and turnovers putting them in horrible situations. They are having a hard time getting pressure on Sanchez though.

Why is Cam still playing? You think they are trying to bring his asking price down or something, I mean this poo is ridiculous! I'm embarrassed by watching this, I love the team but damn!

Hes playing for my fantasy team.  I mean somebody has to overcome the 45 points that the Philly defense has against me tonight.  Oh screw it, I probably am going to lose anyway, put in Anderson.

    • TBH, these are the kind of players that get weeded out of professional sports pretty quickly. Also, CMC is not that guy. There is zero indication that he isn't competitive.
    • I like the free agency. It actually helps basically all schools across the board. Pretty much only ancient HC's and/or HC's that haven't been able to adjust have been complaining about the free agency. Your fortunes can be made or broken every offseason. It's not like before where a bad recruiting class or two meant multiyear purgatory.  I will never understand all the bellyaching about the NIL. If you want to talk about what ruined college athletics, it has been naked greed. Conference expansions for TV revenue, ever skyrocketing AD and facilities costs and now the attempts to permanently ruin the postseasons(football and basketball).  All the kids did was get a very well deserved piece of a very, very, VERY broken pie.
    • Nobody is saying they don't count against the cap, because yes, they technically do count against the cap as it's money the team is paying and it needs to be accounted for. But what you're not grasping it seems is that if a player gets $10 million guaranteed in their contract, whether they get literally $0 as a signing bonus or $8 million as a signing bonus, it doesn't change the overall cap hit of the contract, because cap hits are about the guaranteed money, not how much is paid up front. The only thing that how much is paid up front changes, is how the cap hit can be spread out amongst the years. So yes, technically there could end up being a slightly bigger cap hit in year 3 and 4 due to a bigger signing bonus, but if that is the case, it also means there will be a lesser cap hit in years 1 and 2 than there would have been with a smaller bonus.  But over the length of the contract, the size of the signing bonus has literally zero affect on the overall cap hit of the contract, because THAT part of it is 100% about the guaranteed money and nothing else.
