Does Rivera have a chance at staying another year?

If history repeats itself,  Rivera will be retained because JR won't want to pay him for not being here and they will replace the OC in an attempt to do something.  Then when that fails Rivera will be fired.  This is going to run the same course as the John Fox era.

No matter if its offense or defense, this playing not to lose is killing this team morale.  It appears that players and fans wants the Coaches to keep their foot on the pedal, but instead we play it safe and end up losing.  This conservative approach of Rivera ,especially during crunch time, is ripping the heart out of Panther nation.  He promised that he has learned from last season mistakes but he has'nt.  I am beginning to think that the team is performing in spite of Rivera and out of personal pride.

Jakob, as much as I want these coaches gone, Richardson does not like wasting money. Rivera is not going anywhere unless the players have completely rejected him. But shula's chair is red hot.

Just wanted to gauge everyones opinion on this. Surely Richardson/Gettleman will realize this is unacceptable. I know we gave Rivera a huge contract but keeping him around would assure another losing season.

I look for Rivera back for at least opne more year,to my reget,JR may be to cheap to take the money hit envolved  to buy out his contract. However,i feel Shula's boat is dead in the and quickly sinking,so he will probably be history.

I don't care how you look at it this offseason Richardson is going to have to eat that contract. Rivera and staff has failed this season.

Who leaves first, Cam Newton via free agency or Ron Rivera via firing or contract?

 

If I'm Cam Newton, I'm not coming back if Rivera's still the HC in Carolina.
