Are we one of the worst-run teams in the league?

I am not sure we are in the bottom five.  Tampa Bay, Jacksonville, and Oakland have to be three of them and I would probably put Buffalo and Cleveland as the other two since they have played in a combine one playoff game in the last fourteen seasons (and that was twelve years ago).

We are certainly in the next five though.

Well if people say we are ok because we made it to a superbowl then you have to remove Tampa and Oaklnd from the discussion

2010-present day. FO has done a poor job.

Hurney era should of ended with Fox

Hurney overpaid Fox guys...for new HC

New HC should not of been dealt old HCs highly paid hand. Rivera era handicapped from start

Gettlemen extends RR bc of a handful of games despite clear concerns

Cap hell

It's funny so many Panther fans still think that we're "better" than those above mentioned teams.  Some of those teams have championships, so that puts them above us automatically.

The fact that we're so dumb that we think that we're in anything other than the conversation for last is a joke, and is one of the reasons I get so perturbed when people start hollering for Cam's head.  No... holler for Jerry's head.  He's the constant of this franchise, no back to back winning seasons, and no constant at QB or HC for his entire tenure.  No big time free agents want to come here, and the rest of the league looks at us like a joke, but we walk around pointing at other teams.

The joke is on us... we are down there with the worst of them, with a horrible win percentage.

We try to laugh at the Browns, Raiders, Cowboys (all have championship trophies) while the only team with a worse resume historically may be only Jacksonville/Houston/Tennessee.  Our resume is horrible.  Poorly run in all aspects.

the is not necessarily true.

Nah.. pretty much true.  You can have a good team that wins it all, but only well run organizations consistently put a good product on the field.

For instance NE hasn't won a SB since they cheated  won their last one almost in 2004.   However they have been to 2 more since and they have been competitive throughout.

The Carolina Panthers has not been to a superbowl since 2003.  We have yet to go back to back years with a winning record. We have consistently over paid for players see (Jwill- Stew - Jake Delhomme - Charles Johnson, Ryan Kalil, Charles Godfrey etc..).  It could be argued we let our best receiver go a year too soon.  Our scouting department is one of the smallest in the league.  Our forum owner does better interviews than our beat reporter. We went from John Fox ball to Rivera ball.  I am not sure the difference in any year except last year.  We are not a well run organization.

you can have a well run organization that doesn't win it all ever.
