League will vote in March to expand the playoff field from 12 to 14 teams in 2015

Money making watering down bullshit. I enjoy quality not quantity. Casual fans might enjoy more football but hardcore fans know this is BS.

If you want to re formulate playoff configurations to have the teams with the best records in, fine, but don't water it down by allowing more teams.

This would eliminate any need for divisions besides preserving rivalries. The whole point of divisions is that you have 4 teams with nearly identical schedules. Therefore it is difficult to argue that the winner of a division isn't the best team.

What will happen is that you will have situations where a 9-7 teams gets the last playoff spot over an 8-8 team where they have almost no common games. With only 16 games it is much more difficult to see what teams are better. This type of thing really doesn't happen much in other sports.

So yeah I vote against it.

The only thing that would change there is seeding. The top two division champs would be guaranteed a home game, while the remaining six (two wild cards and two division champions) would be seeded on record. All division champions would still have an automatic bid.

Division champ would still get in regardless of record... It would just impact where trey were seeded.
