Newton returns to keep Panthers' playoff hopes alive: Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton returned Sunday and directed a key 17-13 win over the Cleveland Browns that set up a winner-take-all showdown with the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17 for the NFC South title. Newton accounted for two touchdowns, running for one and throwing for the go-ahead score midway through the fourth quarter.

      Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down.       That thread has all the huddle legends either posting in it or mentioned in it. I remember everyone of those folks and I truly miss seeing them post here. This place was so much better with them here.
