The Panthers win on Sunday if...

...[WHAT] happens?

OFFENSE: If the Panthers score on their first drive, and Benjamin and Olsen both have 1,000 yards before the end of the first quarter. Go ahead and get that out of the way so you're not still thinking about it, Cam. Don't go a whole freaking game again this week before Olsen gets a catch or you'll probably be down by 3 touchdowns because you're probably playing "tight".

DEFENSE: If Charles Johnson gets two sacks, I think the Panthers win because the defense will probably have three or four, and Ryan will start rushing it.

In your mind, what are a few things that need to happen for the Panthers to win? Some are obvious, but are there some you don't think everyone else will say?

1) Panthers win if the O-line can trap in a manner to allow Stew and Cam to gain yards to move the chains and control time of possession.......especially when in the red zone............

2) if special teams avoids kicking the ball to Hester more often than not.

If they do the above it matters little what Atlanta can do on offense in fact the Panther D will be fresh throughout the whole game as a result of our establishing long drives.......and Ryan will be scrambling for his life in the backfield................and Panthers will win by one or two touchdowns........

Must defend the WR screen.

We can survive a big game by Julio or Roddy White.. not both.

DT's have to ball.  The interior of the Falcon line has been protecting really well of late.  Outside pressure on Matt Ryan doesn't effect him.  Inside does.

Turnovers -- Matt Ryan hasn't thrown a pick in a division game all year.   They coincidently are 5-0.

Offense must be efficient, no more than 1 turnover.

Cam has to be in the 60% or better completion range.

Run game must show up.  If our last 3 1/2 week run game shows up we are fine offensively because PA will work.

Have to be at very least 75% in red zone efficiency.   Cannot waste opportunities to score.

CBS has the game so Pat Kirwan has been scouting tendencies for the Panthers. He threw this out there on his Sirius radio show last week. The Panthers have won close to 70% of its games when Cam runs the ball 8 or more times. When he runs it below 4 that number drops below 25%.

Cam needs to keep the ball enough on the zone read runs to open up the runs for the back when he gives it to him. We will need to run the ball to win, burn clock and keep Ryan off the field.

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
