And the Panthers rookie of the year is....

The fact that I can't make up my mind despite having a rookie WR that accrued 1,000 yards and 9 TDs says a lot about these rookies.

We had a pretty good rookie class last year too.

One thing I am already liking about Gettleman.  It is easiest to get stars in the first round, but it is the rest of the rounds and UDFA where you build quality depth and solid rotational guys, and perhaps if lucky some occasional stars.  He has done that in droves his first two years

I'd say Trai because this team is only in the playoffs because of the improved Oline play, and a lot of that started with Trai and Remmers securing their spots on the line.

As good as KB and Bene have been, the turnaround just seems to coincide with Trai's phenomenal play.

Any ranking that has a rookie corner that missed 6 games and only having 1 int as the second best corner in the game is obviously flawed.

Also it's from week 14. Playing well in 4 games < playing amazing for a WR the whole season.

Bene played at the beginning of the season too....

Look at his snap count and how many TDs he has given up....

He has been a stud from start and now end.

Bene, Norwell, and Turner.

KB had nice stats but a good chunk was garbage time and also all the drops and stupid penalties.  He's not reliable enough to be a true #1 right now but that was his knock coming out of college so we shouldn't be surprised.   The o-line playing like an NFL oline was way more important than KB.  He was going to get his 1,000 yards regardless of us going to the playoffs but we wouldn't have went to the playoffs without that o-line stepping up.

If KB ended up with 1400 yards and 11 or 12 td's (which is what he should have got minus the stupid drops) than totally him.  But this guy is dropping WIDE open passes to his chest in a playoff game that was almost a sure TD.  The addition of Philly being out there more often should have opened things up but instead he dropped the ball.  I still think we need another speedster out there to compliment him.

But great rookie class overall.

The beginning of the season is irrelevant when the argument is that he's been the 2nd rated cb since week 14. KB has overall had the better season.

Keep seeing Cam hit Benji in stride 4 steps ahead of defender and it slips through his hands!!!  Sure Benji seen it a few times, like every time he closes eyes

but from start of season til now he has given us a boost every week in our quest for the play offs.

Right now vote Benji ROY for Panthers

Man this is tough.

I'd say KB just because he played all 16 games and despite his flaws played well in most of them.

However to me Bene is definitely the better player and probably is a bigger reason for us being in the playoffs than KB. If he didn't get hurt, it'd be Bene hands down imo.

Ranking them:

1- KB

2- Bene

3- Trai (in the 4 game win streak, he's given up 1 hurry and 1 hit. 0 sacks all season! Amazing)

4- Norwell (total beast in the run game.)

5- Ealy (has gotten better as the season's gone along. 1 sack in each of the last 3 games)

6- Philly (His impact was felt best as our speed WR. Should be better next season)

7- Glanton (Small sample size has managed to make an impact)
