The Panthers will host CFL WR Duron Carter for a free agent visit on Wednesday.

The Panthers join the Vikings, Colts, Chiefs, Buccaneers, and 49ers as teams showing interest in Cris Carter's son. Duron hopes to sign a reserve/future deal with a signing bonus in the $100,000 range. He turns 24 in March. Carolina would be an excellent landing spot both for the player and team. Carter could immediately battle for playing time opposite Kelvin Benjamin.

yea he's pretty crazy, much like his dad was but to a lesser extent. he could probably develop into something if he ends up in the right situation.

Bring him in!! Stephen Hill needs a buddy to spend 2015 with on the PS bench.

Seriously though, it can't hurt.  6'5" 205 pounds, can create separation and good hands.  Just didn't seem to like school, like RumGone said.

'09 - Ohio St.

'11 - Alabama

'12 - Florida Atlantic

CFL since, and only 23 years old. Kick the tires and see what Cris Carter's son has.....can't really hurt

Pretty much.  He's 6'5 205 lbs and can play.  He started at Ohio State but had character issues and eventually wound up at Alabama. But because of academic issues never played for Alabama.

So yeah, he's an idiot.

    • 31st rushing D and 8 carries by Rico is coaching.  Rico is easily the best offensive weapon right now and it’s not really close.  *literally everyone knows Dalton is washed, horrible and shouldn’t even be a backup QB.   Drive 1? ZERO carries.  Coaching.  Drive 2 - Rico was playing great.   Did Canales lean into that or go for “balance”? Coaching. Drive 3 - ZERO carries.  Coaching  Drive 4 - 1 carry and opted for Jimmy Horn gadget rush (you can’t stick  with the Horn repetitive gadget runs each week and that’s not a better idea than getting Rico going)  Drive 5 - basically Dalton heavy as the half expired.  I don’t need to watch a game to know it’s coaching.  The gameplan wasn’t about setting Rico up to go off on a trash rush D.  It was bullshit harmony balance of the rush and the pass and making Hubbard feel good.
    • In the locker room after the Dallas game, multiple  players said FEED him when Canales mentioned Rico stats. That already made me think even the locker room wouldn't care if Rico got the touches rn. This is on Canales indeed and I agree n the Qb take.  We aren't winning  bc of Bryce  but he has been managing it. Had the Jets had Qb aptitude,  we could've probably  lost that game too. All they would've needed is 14 points. Regardless, we got a team  that's being built up and that position needs an overhaul.
    • I think he was trying to mimic the Lions with Montgomery and Gibbs. They are just more of the exception to the rule and Brooks was too much of a gamble to be a Gibbs type player. The Lions also didn’t sign Montgomery and draft Gibbs until their offense was nearly set. It was more of a luxury take the offense to the next level type of deal.
