49ers promote D line coach to head coach....

He's also never been anything but a DL coach except 1 year as a HC in NFL-Europe and 1 game when Mike S. Was fired from the 49ers

most coordinators do not have head coaching experience. when John Harbaugh was hired to be the HC for the ravens, he was a DB coach. yes he had experience as a special teams coordinator, but he was a DB coach at the time. he worked himself up from being a coach at d2 Catawba to now the 49ers head coach. speaks volumes about his work ethic, and presences.

Sorry DCK but, said no one ever.

It was a very easy decision after speaking with him,” Harbaugh said when he decided to keep Tomsula on his staff. “He's had a special gift of presence, personality, of teaching ability and that came shining through. I remember that first meeting. And that's one position I've just never had to worry about since I've been here as the head coach.”

Tomsula has a long history with the team and has been viewed by other clubs as a potential head coaching candidate in recent years.

he was also very close to getting the vikings HC job last year. this guy is well respected around the league. will he be a successful HC, that is yet to be seen.

It is in the 49ers blood.

There was no more of an entitled, spoiled bitch than Eddie Debartelo, finally run out of the NFL after his felony bust for bribing a deep south governor on a river boat gambling deal. This is how the Yorks came into a decision making position for this Franchise to begin with.

Makes me fugging puke to here ESPN etc talking about Debartelo being allowed back in the NFL lately and what a great owner he was.

Bill Walsh gave them greatness, then infinite pre-salary cap spending kept them competitive until the NFL adopted a salary cap.

Harbaugh finally brought them respectability but they will now sink back down into the cesspool this organization belongs in.

Fug the 49ers.

Tell us how you really feels lol

Or it speaks volumes how bad ownership is. 49ers love to not spend money especially when they shelled out the most they ever have to a coach.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
