“Every team tampers with the footballs,” Matt Leinart said on Twitter. “Ask any Qb In the league, this is ridiculous!!”

Leinart then carved out one exception: “Actually my guy @kurt13warner didn’t tamper w the footballs because he wore gloves,” Leinart said. “Used to irritate me..So correction, almost all QBs!”

But it is the same as drastically overinflating so they fail air requirements, which is what Rodgers admitted to.

Actually if you go by what Rodgers said.....he doesn't admit to that. He advised he liked to see what the refs would do. Which could imply they went for standard inspection and played with what the refs deemed okay.

He never said he altered it. He said he liked them overinflated and push the limits.... would want to see if the refs took some out. If the refs deem it okay it is

Rodgers acknowleged the refs ability to inspect.....didn't claim to alter what the refs gave them back to play with (which is what NE is guilty of)

By fielding these balls from the Patriots did they not deem it okay? It's their job to inspect the balls before they are in the field of play.

That's the point.

They inspected them pre game and at half.....something occured inbetween. But only to NE balls. Not Indy ones

    • Most elite WRs aren't necessarily burners. Not a lot of elite WRs in the modern era were 4.3 guys. If anything, sometimes it seems like the super fast guys use their speed as a crutch and it hampers their development in the intricacies of route running.
    • People saying the same thing 100 ways to avoid work.
    • I hope you are right.   Fwiw, I sometimes think that when assessing WR's, fans and occasionally coaching staffs/scouts, get caught up to much in speed.  Speed is great and certainly helps.  But everyone involved in the passing game is fast.  With a guy like Thielen, and hopefully Tet, they only need a couple of feet to be considered open.
