PFF ranks teams by number of "missing pieces" from being a super bowl contending team

Same with Norwell.....and Kalil is just average?

I do not disagree with their 5 upgrade assertion.  However, their ranking of players in the buckets is quite laughable.

Norwell is Average not bad.

Truth be told, Kalil had a very pedestrian year himself, but came back to form the later half of the year when the two rookies were flanking him. I think his down year can be attributed to the talent that surrounded him.

One thing I find encouraging is that a lot of the players that they list as "average" have the potential to be at least "good" in the upcoming season.

Kalil, Norwell, Norman, Star, Benjamin, and Turner all have the potential to make that jump to "good" next year. Then there's Boston, Ealy, and Remmers who have potential but just didn't play that much.

By PFF's logic, things are looking up for us. If we can get a decent tackle, a legit starting receiver, and Safety, we'll be contending for a Superb Owl.

Your assessment of Kalil is why I think it is vital to find a seasoned, starting vet at the RT spot at minimum. Remmers can be a rotational player for a year or two. I'm much like the rest tho, rather find a vet LT, but I don't see it happening.

Anyone familiar with the back up LT from Buffalo, Hairston. He is due to be a FA

Just looking over the lists of thing, I feel good about next year.  Another year of experience for our young guys is going to go a long way to us improving in 2015.  Hopefully Cam makes that next step in 2015 as well.  Stepping into his throws....Just take the next STEP...STEP!!  (I feel like we've been hoping for this for EVER!).  If he can consistently do that, we'll perform so much better.

The Tackle problem is the most worrisome.  Finding big bodies is easy, but finding dancing bears is hard.  Tackles need to be able to glide with speed rushers, maul at the point of attack, and hunker down and move mountains on 3 & Inches...It's much more difficult finding quality at that position.  Look at the drafted tackles last year...

Interesting piece though.  I like the presentation of the whole thing.  Very slick =)
