The Seattle D at the end of that game

What does that have to do with Clutch situations as was the premise of my post?

The Seahawks had a chance in two years ago to beat ATL in ATL in the playoffs. The defense needed to hold for about 20 seconds they could not.

This year against Denver, they could not hold Manning with like a minute left.

They could not hold Rodgers last week with about a minute...

And they very well would have given up 3 points to Brady had the Seahawks scored and left any time.

Much like the Panther's defense, the Seahawks, IN CLUTCH situations, often fails.

They just played in back to back super bowls. What else you want them to do? Bring back the mcrib?

Much like the Panthers. If you are going to dump that much resources into one side of the ball, leaving the offense with un-drafted WRs, no TEs, and an average line, you gotta hold to leads in the 4th.

The opposite would be true for the Broncos, Packers, or Eagles.

The same is true for the Panthers. When your out-manned offense manages to get you a lead in the 4th, it is on your defense to hold...not proceed to get run through by the opposing offense.

Those resources had 109 yards receiving and one play from back to back championships.

That's about to change after some contracts coming.

Seattle 18-0 the last two years when leading by 10 or more going into the 4th. Now 18-1. But not clutch.

Please see the the Broncos vs. Seahawks this year.

Seahawks won the game. But it was because Wilson and the offense scored in OT without giving Manning another chance to score. The defense had just given up a TD at the end of regulation to send the game into overtime.

Another example, Packers two weeks ago.

The Seahawks won that game too. But once again, it was Wilson that scored in OT without giving Rodgers another chance to score, like he did at the end of regulation.

There are other example as well.

The point is that the Seahawks defense, FOR ALL THEIR GREATNESS, is prone to giving up critical TDs and FGs at the end of regulation. They are not nearly as clutch, as they are great.

call me crazy but combine: insane levels of adrenaline, the highest testosterone count known to man, and a game centered around hitting the other guy as hard as you can....some guys might be upset if they lose.

there's no room for that kind of thinking around here...just get in line with the rest of the haters and carry on
