DGB Considered "Best WR to Come Out since Calvin Johnson."

Albert Breer of NFL Media writes that while other prospects such as Florida State QB Jameis Winston and Alabama WR Amari Cooper may garner more attention in the coming days, no prospect has more on the line than Oklahoma WR Dorial Green-Beckham.

According to Breer, no receiver offers as much in terms of physically gifts, as Green-Beckham is listed at 6-foot-6, 225.

“He’s one of the best receivers I’ve ever seen,” said the scout. “He’s special. He’s gigantic, he has tremendous body control, balance, he runs like a deer and can leap out of the gym and high-point the ball. He’s special. It’s impressive. If not for all that stuff, he’d be the best receiver to come out since Calvin Johnson.”
However, there are plenty of concerns with a player like Green-Beckham.

He was arrested on possession of marijuana charges during his freshman year at Missouri, only to be busted again, but this time with a pound of marijuana.

Then, just three months later, Green-Beckham forced his way into Missouri student’s apartment and pushed her down a set of stairs.

According to Breer, three NFL teams have information that he failed multiple drug tests during his time in Columbia, which led to his dismissal from the team.

“He’s very immature,” said one of Breer’s sources. “People like him as a guy, but you cannot defend the off-field incidents.”
In two years at Missouri, Green-Beckham caught 87 passes for 1,278 yards receiving and 17 touchdowns.

If hes there at 25 and you've interviewed him enough and he checks out, it would be quite moronic to bypass him.

It depends who else is still on the board but yes at 25 he's a fuging steal IF he can keep his nose clean.

See this is lazy reporting. DGB ALLEGEDLY pushed that girl down the stairs. He was not charged with anything and the "victim" didn't talk to the police. If someone pushed me down the stairs...I'm talking about it. I'm sure this will be regurgitated to death as well. ...and I'm waiting for the, "DGB is a drug lord so the victim kept her mouth shut," conspiracy theorist post.

Pretty sure some of the people arguing for us to draft him are the same ones who screamed that if we didn't trade a first or second round draft pick for Josh Gordon or Justin Blackmon, it proved we didn't care about winning

Some real fountains of football wisdom there, eh?

I think OP was just trying to show people how good this kid really is. He could be a nightmare on an off the field lol.

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
    • Well I guess he should stop playing football. This was his defining moment and chance to prove he was generational and he failed. What a waste of football life..
