Tackling

Yea the tackling is crappy. I just don't see carolina having a good season unless the offense carries the D all season long. I am afraid if panthers go 4-12 this season. Fox might end up out the door like George Seifert did when carolina went 1-15. Fox has been a good coach over the years for carolina and all. And also took them to 2 NFC champship and went to the superbowl. But you get to a point as a fan when you just wondering if Fox motivevation is working anymore. That bringing in a new coach would bring a fresh new look to the panthers. And know I am not just talking bout just Bill Cowher either. Just a new coach to give panthers a new feel. So far in these 3 preseason games I have not seen hardly any type of good pressure from carolina front four. The offense is doing a decent job right now. But if carolina should go 4-12 don't be surprise to see a new coach in carolina next year.

I think that this will carry over to the regular season. I'm afraid it's going to be a long season.

I'm wondering if stripping the ball and creating turnovers has been emphasized in practice and the players are trying too much to do that rather than wrap up and have the 2nd or 3rd guy strip. I too feel it will carry into the regular season if not addressed ASAP

I could pick 5 random middle-aged guys from the neighborhood and we could do a better job tackling than I saw from the Panthers tonight.

Hell, I might even call up my grandpa who is on oxygen and doesn't walk to show them how to tackle.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
