And we probably would've won atleast two more with him. Atleast the bengals game. Idk why people don't want hardy back honestly

Primary logic is two things. 1) He wants more money than we're willing to devote to him, at least in part because of 2) the risk that he'll wind up suspended or do something really stupid.

Basically, the risk-reward balance leans a little too far to the 'risk' side with Hardy. Hence, why he was planned to only be a one year rental even before the domestic violence stuff came about.

Oher is worse than Bell

Or was last year at least.

The hope, if he signs here, will be that he's healthy again and that reuniting with his original line coach will spark him back to being a great tackle.

That's the hope, at least, Whether or not it happens? I'll call the Psychic Hotline and ask.

Personally, I think we have a shot at the best record in the NFC.  Dallas is our biggest competition in that area, followed by Seattle and Green Bay.  However, there is always a dark horse--in our division, Tampa has the best chance to be that dark horse.  I have no faith that Atlanta and New Orleans are going to turn it around.

If Hardy becomes a Falcon...? I am scared for our chances.

I'm not.

The headline "(good player) signs with (someone else) is seen multiple times every offseason.

Every team in the league is going to use this offseason to try and make themselves better, including us.

That's the nature of the game.

Does he account for a 31 point differential? People are putting too much stock in one player.. the Giants have JPP and the Texans have Watt and neither of those teams made the playoffs last year

It was actually 6-8-1.

This defense is better with Hardy than without. However, record aside this team got as far down the road to a SB going 7-8-1 as it did 12-4. Everyone reboots to 0-0 in the playoffs.

Winning the South is a stepping stone but it's not the mission.

One thing to remember is Hardy is not on his rookie contract anymore so as long Gman makes sound decisions there is no reason this team can't improve and were finally crawling out of cap hell. Its all about playing well when it counts at the end of the season. Zona is a great example of season records meaning jack once you get to the playoffs.

Today we look like the favorite for three-peating but a lot can happen from here to there.
