only 10-15 consensus first-round talents in the 2015 class?

I hope not.

Josh Norris of Rotoworld:

"There might only be 10-15 consensus first round talents in the 2015 class, and many many more second-round evaluations (likely even more than usual)... A number of teams will want to trade back from their original first-round slot. The supply will likely outweigh the demand, or teams could settle for less value in return"

To be honest, I don't know how one would come up with this assessment before Pro Days and team workouts have even been going that long.  Perhaps this guy is privy to tape and info that we don't know about.  In any event, I am only really concerned with Gettleman's grades.  If he decides to trade back on draft day, then with all the second round graded talent, I will feel great about it.

It just makes free agency that much more interesting, if not important.

I don't see how anything could be "consensus" at all with how different all the talent evaluators are. I guarantee you Gettleman doesn't end up picking a guy with a 2nd round grade in the 1st round.

ESPN has 21 listed.

Might be a good year to trade back. Unfortunately other teams might be thinking the same and nobody wants to trade up.

On a side note the listing of players in grid form does a nice job of showing the strengths and weaknesses of various positions in this years draft.

Negative they say that every year and someone always manages to nab a game changer in the latter of each round. They could have tons of talent and no drive, and the later guys usually have insane work ethic. It all depends on how easy they are to be coached and how open they are to learn to become the best they can be.

Wow. I figured Jameis will go #1 overall, but according to that link, he's the highest graded player in this draft as well.

Winston apparently has genius-level football IQ on the level of Peyton Manning and Luck

and here's a scouting report that says they've never seen a better QB except for Luck

Rotoworld Josh Norris is one of the few draft analyst in existence that still have Mariota going number 1.

All the signs indicate that Winston is going to be the Bucs pick but he won't make the switch.

    • My biggest fear with Bryce Young is that he will always do just enough to stick around. He shows flashes and then drops a turd so the hopium is always there. Like his career highlight reel if you cut it up to some hype music and did a YouTube video would actually be quite good. His great plays really, really look good. But after that video you look at his yearly averages for completion percentage, yardage, touchdowns, and virtually every other metric and it is meh as fug. Like you know Bryce is gonna be 13/23 for 157 yards a touchdown and probably a pick.  I will 100% give him his flowers for his athleticism and ability to scramble outside the pocket. I haven’t seen the mythical “super processing ability” he was touted for per se, but he has shown flashes of absolutely elite awareness when it comes to scrambling. The little basketball move he does to shake defensive linemen has almost become a signature move. It’s hard to explain but you know it when you see it he stops on a dime and pivots like he is gonna hit a step back jumper and it has gotten him out of a lot of trouble.  I sincerely, truly, as a vocal Bryce HATER, hope that since we are obviously running with him next year the coaching staff actually tailors plays around his strengths. He needs to be in a pure spread IMO. His size is much less of a hindrance when he can play QB in open space. I feel like most of his highlight reel is from scrambles and play action/bootlegs.
